Keane's point is not valid, but since you're continuing to argue, what is your point?
sergiomonty wrote:As I said before, the game was colourful, but I never experience oversaturation like I did with the boxart of Mario Party 9 or games like LocoRocco.
I know, and I said I did, so we're clearly done on that point.
sergiomonty wrote:Sure... but what about Metal Gear Ground Zeroes, as I said before? my example was considerably better and you just seemed to fully ignore it.

What? You're telling me that Metal Gear Ground Zeroes not only far surpasses the graphical prowess of Crysis 3, but looks entirely, one hundred percent flawless in every single aspect and has achieved photorealism? I'm sorry, but that's utterly pathetic.

Sure it is, Ad. Sure it is.

I've been watching the PS4 conference... it has some cool stuff... but it didn't make me regret buying a Wii U. It has cloud gaming and that's pretty cool, and the newest capcom game seems to have the photorealistic graphics that Adsolution is looking for (hopefully). I don't like the community interface, tho. Having to share your real name and pictures of you? I'll pass. It's a console, not facebook.

The catalogue of games is totally not crushing the Wii U. Both have completely different audiences, as usual. Some games are cool, but most of them are still just first person shooters with pretty graphics. This will probably be a pretty standard generation. The console will be fucking fast and work with smartphones... but somehow that's not as mindblowing as motion controls/ HD graphics were in 2005.

Yes.

Well, fuck you C:

...jk.

Ehem... back to the conference.

I'm still wondering what will Microsoft propose this year. With two IP's already out of the list (Halo and Gears of War) there's nothing that could make the console better than PS4... at least for now. Rumours say that the console will enforce kinect this time, which would be, in my opinion, a bad idea.

As I said, PS4 looks pretty, but there's still no reason to buy one, especially if you have a ps3. Ps3 still has lots of potential for this year and the next one. Wii U, however, is a big evolution for Wii owners, they needed something like this because at certain point, Wii felt like it couldn't fight with the other consoles anymore... in fact they're not making many new games for the Wii nowadays. Wii owners changed their consoles because they needed to. Sure, it's slightly improved 2006 technology, but in comparison with the previous console, it's kind of a big deal compared to... well, the PS3/PS4 evolution. Again, it's not that the PS4 won't sell because it isn't cool... it's because the PS3 is still cool. Probably in a year or two not only the price will drop, but also the console will be more relevant.

PS4 looks amazing in terms of graphic improvement, and I can imagine Beyond Good & Evil 2 running beautifully on that baby. Sadly, I don't think I have the money for it... and wouldn't either risk to buy a console on first day. Since the delay of Rayman Legends, the Wii U game drought is totally hurting my soul. I remember my 3ds collecting dust the first year it was released, now it's the awesomest portable console in the market. And let's not talk about the Xbox 360's red ring of death.

So... I'll stick to my Wii U, because it still has a lot of awesome games already announced that interest me more than Sony's IPs... and I couldn't skip Super Smash Bros. U

You know how you get irritated with people who are ignorant to your intentions, hint? You're one of them; you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and you come across as a a complete idiot. I don't know what you're trying to prove by constantly spurting out the bullshit that you do, but it's bloody irritating. The sole reason I bother responding is so that I can correct everything that you type so that people don't receive false information.

You act like a fucking moron far too often on this forum.

In regards to the conference, the PS4 looks like garbage, but some of the games look quite good, bar Killzone.

Well, fuck, Ad. I don't get your point in any possible way. The last time you tried to explain it to me you just showed me a picture comparing the Zelda Demo from E3 with the movie Shrek. How the hell does that make any sense?

If you're not looking for this:

Then what are you looking for?

You said you can't express it with words, but neither pictures help you to tell me what do you want from the game industry.

Please, if anyone understands Adsolution's point, please, please... explain it to me. I must be the biggest idiot on Earth for not understanding her complex communication methods.

Did you hear the news guys? Watch Dogs was officially confirmed for Wii U!! A lot of people are already pleased with Ubisoft and decided to stop with the idea of boycotting Rayman Legends :mryellow:

@Sergio and Ad

While Sergio is no doubts wrong, let's not bring insults into an argument like this. Ya dix.

Anyway, I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

We discussed about this on the chat. She is right. Keane would be right if he actually talked about current technology and not in terms of... you know, human possibilities, including the future, but I didn't interpretate it like that. Of course, at some point technology will be so impressive you won't tell if it's game or a reality show, but for now, the graphics look more like a CGI movie than real world people. The old guy in the picture clearly looks like he was taken from, I don't know, Polar Express, A Christmas Carol, The Adventures of Tintin, that sort of movie.

Cheryl is right.

She's always right (or like 99% right) about technology. It's discouraging  . Btw it's not easy to say if PS4 is garbage or not when you know nothing about hardwares (like me :p).

Yeh, I still disagree about the garbage part. The console is good, the problem with it is that it isn't a big evolution from the previous generation. If we compare a PS2 with a PS3, you can see a drastic evolution that completely blowed our minds. PS4 is like a PS3 with slightly prettier graphics. I don't really care about cloud gaming or the implementation of iPad/Psvita... they just don't add anything to the game experience and are just there to satisfy some minor needs.

You know what I think about the social network already.

As a Playstation fan, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to skip out on the PS4. Everything I've seen and heard about it so far doesn't sound very promising nor does it appeal to me. Unless the console starts coming out with amazing exclusive games or change the system up to make me actually interested in purchasing it, I think the only console I'm going for this generation will end up being the Wii U.

I'll boycott Sony with the PS4. I don't support their new policy of the used-games. It would be a different story if the games would be exclusively digital like on STEAM and with dirty cheap pricings, instead of retail ones.

Wait, what? They just said PS4 will play used games no problem and the patent was, well, a patent.

I won't say anything yet. Right now, PS4 doesn't look like a good offer to me; social features require good Internet and having actual friends with similar interests, and the hardware by itself means nothing. That said, it all depends on the games. If rumours will get as true in case of next Xbox as they got in case of PS4, and there will be many interesting games without PC release landing on both next Xbox and PS4, I would probably go with PS4, given that Sony's exclusives are punching Microsoft's ones outta window when it comes to entertaining me.

They gave up after all? Good decision for them.

I didn't watch the conference yesterday but I learnt that the controller will feature a touch pad.

Anyway, I'm not interested in the PS4 at the moment. If I ever plan to get one I need to have really good reasons for such. It will depend mostly of the games.

I posted a silly recap of the conference I found in viewtopic.php?p=744933#p744933 Haruka. The conference wasn't that impressive and they failed to show anything about the console itself, only social features and games that will be released on it.
