And by that, I mean the actual computer will bleep, not your speakers. There's something on the motherboard that goes bleep bleep when Avira finds a baddy.
Okay! That's good to know. By the way, My pc is using about 20% of it's full capacity. The scan is at 2.3% so I'm going to assume it'll take couple of hours. Luckily, I have plenty other things to do with my PS3 so I'm just gonna wait it off.

It will take a while because it scans everything. And I mean everything. It will scan all folders, all files, all registry entries, all links, all bytes and hell, all digits printed on your motherboard's serial number. Well, it would, if it could. But it will check thoroughly. And you'll be surprised - somewhere around 30% it suddenly accelerates up to about 80%, where it slows down again. At least, that's my experience.
But yeah, you go have fun and wait for your PC to find its problems - if it has any. You'll hear it cry for help if it does.

It's already finished. It found 14 things but didn't take any action against them nor can I find out how to. The only one that "required" action was a Rayman Forever GOG setup. Is there a way to see the others and do something with them at all? I can't seem to figure that out.

< has lots of work to do, but < doesn't feel like doing it at all.
< suggests ^^ to try out Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. < uses it since Comodo scans stuff so slowly it hurts.
((No, seriously, Comodo AV is fine, but last time it scanned my laptop for whole day. MAM does it's job in 10 minutes.))

< actually does have Malwarebytes but it doesn't detect what AVG detects. Maybe AVG really is having a falsie.

I'm not sure what you mean. If it found 13 other things that it found only 'suspicious', it will most likely indeed do not a lot about them, but it will have some sort of report of them stored somewhere and probably a report will be sent to AntiVira itself as well, so the dev team there can check it out. You can open the configuration by clicking the icon in the taskbar. If you choose Scanner, you'll find the options that handle the scanning part of Avira's work. It mentions a log is stored somewhere that holds all the info about detected suspicious files. However, I cannot locate this in the program's directory (default C:\Program Files\Avira). I guess if Avira didn't move the files into quarantine by itself, they must have not appeared very harmful. I do remember there are some ways to check out the files and move them into quarantine yourself, but I can't exactly remember how. Try Google.

PS
Sorry for not following the you-topic rules, but this would've been a lot harder to explain and to read if it was filled with '<'s and '^'s.

< uses Kaspersky Antivirus
< likes it since it is efficient
< used Panda Antivirus years ago, but stopped using because of its too strict security (like blocking the printers :boon: ) and being a heavy program for the system's memory
