Eh, XEBRA still has infinitely more accurate emulation and much higher compatibility rates than ePSXe.emshomar wrote:That was the awsome 5xBR v3.7a (though I should have used v3.7c instead) shader for ePSXe btw. We seriously should include it to our emulation thread. (heh, take that XEBRA!)
Please explain why.OldClassicGamer wrote:XEBRA in the other hand completely fails like Omar agrees
Cuz it cannot add shaders.technology4617 wrote:Please explain why.OldClassicGamer wrote:XEBRA in the other hand completely fails like Omar agrees
Because no Netplay, no awsome shaders, not that much options to configure, blablabla.technology4617 wrote:Please explain why.OldClassicGamer wrote:XEBRA in the other hand completely fails like Omar agrees
OHHHH!!!!!!! Well, fuck, man, shaders and pretty graphics are soooo much cooler than near-perfect emulation!OldClassicGamer wrote:Cuz it cannot add shaders.technology4617 wrote:Please explain why.OldClassicGamer wrote:XEBRA in the other hand completely fails like Omar agrees

I'd be willing to try that out. Mendafen seems to be pretty sweet.RibShark wrote:Quick solution: Retroarch + Mednafen PSX core. Near-perfect emulation with optional shaders support.
Eh, Netplay is useless in Rayman 1, shaders are an additional feature, not to be prioritized over core emulation just to get something that "looks pretty," and both of these features were not on the original PS1. And, aside from the graphics options dialog, every feature/plugin is just as configurable as any other, the CD-ROM one actually having additional convenience features, such as the ability to load different CDDA TOCs into it.emshomar wrote:Because no Netplay, no awsome shaders, not that much options to configure, blablabla.
Here. Yathzee can explain it better than meOldClassicGamer wrote:Live system? You mean life system right?
How do you think it is outdated? It pretty much uses standard system of achiving extra life like any other platformer does.
It's not that it's outdated, it's that the kind of game that it is would be too easy without a lives system. It was designed with it in mind. Even the New Super Mario Bros games use lives and allow you to get Game Over.todpole wrote:-Lives system is outdated, fixed by the sequels.
Space Mama is the most fun boss in the game, especially during the Washing Machine segment, second to Mr. Stone.todpole wrote:-Space Mama is incredibly hard
