Yes, no-one is disputing the score is possible.

Well, for how they handled this whole situation, we should seriously consider removing them and electing different mods. Acting on circumstantial evidence, following a "guilty until proven innocent"-logic (see MandM's penultimate post) and not consulting this issue with the community are signs of bad moderating. I think it would be a good idea to elect mods who are not as involved with the scoring community, as they would be impartial and would be more likely to consult the community when it comes to making decisions about the HoF. I think the discussion over the last year has proved that at least MandM, who is listed as a mod there, is not impartial when it comes to the HoF.

Not arguing against the reasoning, but Mirage was instrumental in reaching that conclusion. Nicely plotted, guys.

At least there's a bright side to the situation: it seems to have encouraged many users to play Rayman 3 as we now have three new players with outstanding scores in the Hall of Fame.

I mean, you are the World Champion and a Hall of Fame Moderator and you set the standard of a Screenshot and the Hall of Fame being enough. I still have no trust in his score being valid, but on the other hand his posts also didn't make my 99% a 100%. I'm cool with that, he didn't overtake me in the Hall of Fame since, well... he can't^^ I don't propose anything because it's not my business.

sfn, I'm not really sure what your goal is here, apart from attacking me personally due to numerous previous disagreements. But can we at least not do this in PMs instead of once again creating a hostile atmosphere in the scores topic?

You know very well it's a cheap shot and you know very well an improvement of that size from an unknown player needs to be verified by more more than a screenshot. At the very least, since he's using PC, one should rule out the use of MG's discovery. That requires level scores.

Finally, I'm not taking ethics lessons from someone who so vehemently defended hiding glitches from the entire RPC. I'm done answering your hostile posts in the forum. I'll answer PMs though.

That, or to get MandM to post his level scores, since he's now sitting on the edge. Of course I have no proof, so let's leave it at that.

I've also read a lot of criticism towards the current moderation system, but hardly any constructiveness. How about you guys suggest a detailed process to reach a better situation?

Thanks, my mom is so proud she almost stopped asking me when I'd get a job.

@MandM: I am not going to discuss this via PM because it's a public matter. It concerns the whole community, not just you and me.

Some facts for you:
- You have repeatedly refused to post your level scores.
- We (that is the TSF-people, but also Maz and 1234), unlike you, have published all the combos and glitches we know and published our level scores.
- You have tried multiple times to push people out of the HoF who didn't conform with your preferred way of playing.
- You removed a player from the HoF who has a theoretically possible score without consulting the player or the community and without even attempting to collect evidence.

Whenever anyone brings up these facts, all you do is get defensive and play the victim because people are supposedly attacking you. Take Cut's post for example. He drew attention to fact 1, yet, instead of addressing his concerns, you get defensive again. You have yet to address any of these facts and our concerns related to them (we have stated those multiple times).

Facts 3 and 4 call your impartiality regarding the HoF and, thus, your suitability as a HoF-Moderator, into question. This (just like the secrecy) is a public matter. You're representing RPC and the scoring community in that role but your actions make it debatable whether you are the right person for this role. Your refusal to answer these concerns, and now, your declaration of refusing to answer any of these facts and the related public concerns in a public setting, tell me more than any answer ever could.

@timoo: I have suggested a process. Electing mods who are not as involved with the scoring community, who consult the community in this thread before making a decision. I don't know the community well enough to suggest suitable candidates who would be trustworthy and willing to actually moderate the HoF. Maybe you have someone in mind?

It sounds like you need one of the regular staff members to take over the HOF then perhaps?

Or maybe all the top scorers could vote on things? Bit of a democracy.
