The funny thing is that I only found out this year that the Ray 3 rats could talk when you hit them and that they were into that sort of thing.
Would probably sound like that fight in Oblivion:
Unpopular opinion: Rayman Redemption missed some opportunities when remaking Rayman 1 and some the changes were uneccessary (like the Hunter's bullets).

Actually yes it did. Like making a toggle for the pirates in Eraser Plains! Thankfully someone else made it, I just don’t like the new faces placed on them.

What was the issue with the hunter?

Yeah that was the dumbest change considering what kind of toxic person was the one who requested it... At least their design was improved in ReDesigned, but that's still not the true Rayman 1 pirates.
Also I kind of miss the original bonus levels, some of them were really nostalgic, but I guess we gotta leave a few things for making a purchase of the original still worthwhile.
Unpopular opinion: I prefer the UI in Rayman M over the one I saw in footage of Rayman Arena.

The Hunters' bullets in the original Rayman had mallets coming out of them which was far funnier and far more fitting for the absurd style of the game.
In Redemption, they were removed and got some eyes instead. It was made to tie Rayman 1's universe more with Origins, but that doesn't make much sense when nothing else goes in that sense in Redemption and when they are technically three games apart in the timeline.

I’d prefer they were removed altogether

Let's remove every enemy and obstacle while we're at it for the peak experience.
Unpopular opinion: Rayman was nicer in Rayman 2.

That's a pretty popular one indeed
Unpopular opinion: Rayman GBC's slow controls didn't age well even if the game is still good.

Unpopular opinion: Rayman 1 isn't difficult...Rayman Brain Games is.
(The platforming feels much more difficult for some reason, and I'm no pushover when it comes to Rayman!)

Oooh, nice opinion Dave! Rayman looks very good in blue. Ly also has quite the nice redesign in the Dreamcast

You're using the GOG Galaxy launcher? What's so confusing exactly? There's the usual install button if you want to play games through the launcher, and you can also go at the bottom of each game's Bonus section to download an offline setup for a truly DRM-free version played without needing the launcher.
Unpopular opinion: If Ubi could port Jungle Run and Fiesta Run to the Windows Store, then so could Adventures (and Mini, but I don't think Apple would be so happy about that ).

Haven't played Brain Games, but I did heard it was a torture.

It’s the fact that after you purchase the game it doesn’t tell you what to do next, I had to find a YouTube tutorial for it

It's just weird because you're used to the classic designs, but those aren't that bad.
Another unpopular opinion here: Rayman Raving Rabbids could have perfectly been released for the PS3, just like some classic Need For Speed games did.
I wonder if we would have even gotten RRR without Ubisoft’s deal with Nintendo, though. In a hypothetical where they could also release on PS3, we might have gotten R4! From my understanding, Rayman 4 was turned into a party game because Nintendo told them to scale back due to their idea being too adventurous for a holiday release. Very interesting to think about!

Yeah, that's more or less what happened. All the ideas were scrapped basically because Ubisoft was told to develop it as a party game. But I don't know, it would have been interesting to see a 3D Rayman game on the PS3... I wonder what would have happened to the series. Would Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends exist?

I’m kinda glad R4 didn’t exist because it’s kinda shaped our society
