I have no idea how it works, but it's still fascinating. I suppose, if you believe in ghosts and hence the Afterlife, you would also believe in God. Maybe.

Ghosts, the afterlife and God are three things which don't necessarily have anything to with each other.

Yes but they're all connected to the idea of life after death/spirituality.

They are. But you could have one without the other two, or two without the other one...

I read on wikipedia that there is a possibility that,(translating out of dutch now) when someone is killed by violence or dies while being very emotional, they can leave a "print" on the location they died. That print can haunt people that are sensitive to ghosts. Also people that had a strong affection for their house before their death, can leave such prints.
Those prints aren't souls that haunt on purpose, but a kind of "record" that is repeated again and again.
It could be an explanation for the statement that ghosts in old castles and inns keep repeating the same actions without any variation.

Interesting.

That is kind of interesting, but I wonder how this "print" would be recorded...

I think Buddhism's a pretty neat way of looking at life- it's helped me with stress and craving for crap. Also, when do you ever get Buddhist terrioists blowing up buildings? :P
But I wouldn't like to take it up Dx I don't like the idea of religion at all. It seems, really unhealthy...

I don't know many Buddhists that boo at out troops coming home from Iraq either, but I think there's more to Buddhism than just the nirvana.

It's not.

All I was saying is that I'm not 18 yet, so I can't actually choose my own religon yet. But my parents are fine with it.
