I finally beat my record after so many years!
Congrats everyone, this will be a RD to remember! One of the greatest in years!
It was a blast, and I already know the next edition will be very fun too!
...But now I must really rest because my brain is nearly dead
Great job everyone!

I don't think anything will beat the absolutely unhinged era of the early-mid-2010s, but I was really happy to see how active this was, some still cranking ~1K
That's really impressive indeed, congrats to our winners!

Well, it's time to say goodbye to Record Day 2024. The return of many members from the past (I hope they stick around, even if it doesn't mean posting as often as today) has made it a nice and special event for many veterans, but there are many more reasons to think that today was a special day! The laughs, the memes, the good vibes... We have turned the tables and reversed a clearly negative trend that bottomed out in 2022. In 2023 we rebounded and this year we have given a blow on the table beating the results of previous years, and the best of all is that it has been without the need to spam.
Days like this one can only be possible because there's still enthusiasm for this forum and for the Rayman series. We haven't beaten the record, but having exceeded 6500 posts, we can only say THANK YOU to each and every single one of you for having participated today and for having contributed to make it such a special day in the forum, because without you this forum would not be alive after 21 years. I am sure that many people will remember this Record Day with great affection.
Lastly, I'd like to congratulate lyndo and Jonster for completing the all-nighter challenge. You will soon have your rewards
I hope many of you will stay on the forum so we can talk throughout the year. If not, we hope to see you again next year!

We should all meet again during December. That way everybody can play Advent 2024 and get special Christmas ranks!

I've never been a big Record Day poster and yesterday was no different, but it was awesome to see so many familiar faces and so much activity! Congrats!

Congrats Jonster! Also 17th place for myself, not bad. I'll make sure to beat my record next year with 100 posts at least.

In the end, the reason why we are still here is thanks to the effort of everyone, from the one who has been first to the one who has only commented once. Posting a thank you message is the least we can do
And of course, credit to you for keeping this project afloat after 21 years and for keeping so many people connected

And lyndo, don't forget about lyndo and his all-nighter! Poor guy, he must be dead now

10. PluMGMK: 170 (4050 Tings)
11. LoveMetal: 148 (3720 Tings)
Aha, I
did it again!

Oddly enough I tried way less hard than I did ten years ago!
Anyhoo, congratulations to the all-nighters and all the hardcore posters! This was a good result indeed!

Ngl I was not expecting to hit top 10 this year, especially considering this is my worst performance in any RD I've been part of:

I bet this is the best record day this place has ever seen (in terms of quality, not in terms of posts)
Couldn't say for sure but I also enjoy it a lot. What I remember from the past, high-activity record days, is that we had some kind of motion going on where we were inventive and created a lot of memes and record day jokes.
I think last years was successful but it wasn’t as memorable as this one
We've only been in a couple of them, how can't you consider the first one memorable? The first time is always the most special one
Well, I found there to be a lot more stuff going on this time than there were in the last one, I’d say
The Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 11:13 pm
See Greengoop? I told you if you had kept going you would be the winner and not me!
I doubt I would’ve made it to that much with only 3 hours, but congrats anyway!

Well, it feels good to be rested! I'll try to hand out the Tings and provide some additional stats later but I also have other plans so it might have to wait until tomorrow.

Maybe your posts as a percentage of the total would paint a different story?

Good point, I'll calculate that and see how it compares, looks like it's a lower share compared to previously, but not my worst when you look at it that way.
