I'm currently playing through Crash Bandicoot 1 with my friend, that's a right bitch of a game. We've actually got pretty far together. He managed to do my dreaded 'road to no-where'.

Played second level of Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures. I am rendering video now, and at the end, there is something interesting I will share with others which will be really surprising. I am not gonna spoil it though.

There is no "plot " (I have always found 1st person shooter plot to be trash and totally dispensable), but more a background.
The game is a simulator developped by the Protectorate Of Man (POM, earth army) in order to recruit cannon fodder for an expedition on an exoplanet.
As I wanted something different than the other sci-fi games, you are in fact visiting an ancien civilization ruined dungeon on the exoplanet, so the environments looks quite fantasy style, like this:
