I completely agree, and I've had it for fourteen years.

I honestly don't understand this. Some of the music and a lot of the environments are some of the most beautiful and magical seen in a Rayman game to date. I think that anyone who says it has no magic at all and blames the game's humour for everything is probably coming in from their biased love toward Rayman 2. The humour was for the most part quite background and naturally played out, and for quite a few levels there isn't any dialogue at all.

Does anybody of you still reminds where I could find the two leaked gameplay bits of Rayman Legends before it was publically announced? When it had purple pyramid heads and a strange music.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found one. But I think there was a second one with "ghosts".

EDIT 2: Can anybody visualize this video?

I deleted it. Apparently I can't ever have this video publically since Ubisoft blocked it worldwide, which is a pity. At least I own the original file.

"Unfounded rumours!" Ubisoft France spokesperson Pascal Lecointe told Eurogamer France on our behalf. "Michel is currently working on Rayman Legends, a unique game that will be released on Wii U, Xbox 360 and PS3.

"Michel Ancel and Ubisoft therefore categorically deny these rumours."

But while the statement confirms that Ancel remains at work on Rayman Legends – a project that the original report suggested he would see to completion – it did not discount Ancel leaving afterwards.

A Ubisoft UK spokesperson refused to deny the suggestion that Ancel was leaving, simply telling Eurogamer that the company "would not comment on speculation and rumours".

Those news were pretty cool when I posted them on the last page, spiraldoor. So yeah, Michel Ancel is not leaving.

As I expected, the whole thing was bogus. Hurray for Rayman fans... Boo for Michel and his freedom as a developer. Seriously, poor guy.

Indeed, my love for R2 does have slight bias. Not to say that Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc was without magical moments, but for me they just are too far and to few. The beginning at The Fairy Council was full of magic (Murphy's commentary excluded), but after that the magic didn't return until The Land Of The Livid Dead, The Dessert Of Knarren was nice in an erie way, after that the game basically dragged on until The Summit Beyond The Clouds, then ruined with the poorly executed snowboard level. Then some more levels and the finale. The game just has too many odd out of place spots and it feels like you are simply dragging your best pal along with you on a tedious journey to find a doctor who can get Andre out of Globox, instead of saving the world from complete destruction all at once. It seems that far too much is all happening at the same time, fiasco after fiasco, the game drags on a tad more than it should because of the design decisions made. Don't get me wrong, I DO like R3, but I also dislike it in some respects, it's not really its humor, but the overall execution of the adventure, it feels like it tries too hard to make an appealing game instead of a magical one. It simply doesn't live up to the standards set by R1 and R2. Forgive me if I still sound like a biased troll, these are just my views.

BTW, the other rumour about BG&E2 being cancelled was a lie too.
Ubisoft CEO says Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming

"I don't give comments anymore on BG&E2... because I think... the next time we communicate we have to have something new. It's coming." - Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot

SO many years of teasing and false reveals for this game. It's #1 on the top of my list for vaporware that should be real. I don't just want the sequel...I need it.

BG&E2 coming? That's nice :).

About the discussion around R3, I think that this is the overall aspect of the game that is strange : some parts of it doesn't fit very well together (or not as much as it should be). I didn't find the end of it so "epic" it should be (I don't want here to compare it with R1 and R2) : the last fight against Reflux should have been more like the first one where the ambiance is very intense. The Tower of The Leptys seems a bit inappropriated to my mind for the introduction to this fight against Reflux. And in fact you'll never fight André directly during the whole game :/.

Well this is going out of topic. We should talk about it in the topic concerned...

The last fight be more intense? Rayman 3 had one of my favourite final boss fights of all time. It was damn epic.

I precisely gave this link yesterday night to my best friend to show that the rumours were fake, but now I regret having forgot to leave it in here. But it was already so late... :oops2:

Anyway, I'm relieved that the rumour is fake.

Oh come on guys, its fine! It isn't me either who usually finds news of Rayman stuff. Its mostly Sergio, Squiz, and other members that I'm not reminding at the moment.

Don't tease with me please. *Hides in a corner*
