When you attempt to hit a bomb but an invisible wall causes the shot to rebound and hit you.

When the Lums repel away from you so you can't collect them

When you lose a life in the intro of Rayman 1

When you lose a continue when you have no continues, which the game then requires you to pay 99 lives, but since you don’t have enough, the game locks up until you have enough lives to pay the debt, so you can’t advance any further

When you fail at breakout and the game breaks

When you fail to hit all the plums in Breakout and they fall on you knocking you out and turning you into a plum.

When you walk but Rayman's shoes just walk away and he has to crawl after them with his hands

When you hack the game but it breaks instead.

When the game suddenly become corrupted.

When you break something and it turns out it was a controller so you can't move Rayman around.

When you're 1 hit away from defeating Mr. Dark but suddenly the game freezes and then you get a huge, zoomed-in Windows 7 error message saying "Rayman.exe has stopped working" even though you're playing on PS1

And while that's all happening the game secretly erases your save file.

That makes sense and seems logical to me

When you play Rayman 1 and get to Mr. Darks Dare then notce "wait... if I'm playing an Xbox, then how am I"

And then you wake up screaming

When you have a nightmare about Rayman.

When you get to The Marshes Of Awakening and then don't know where to go.

When you get back the four masks but Polokus is still sleeping.

Then you try wake him to save the world and he says "eh, 5 more minutes" and goes back to sleep

And then he gets killed by an invisible force so the world is doomed and you can’t advance any further

When you jump on a falling nenuphar with a plum below it and stand there expecting to land on the plum, not realising Rayman is actually about to fall right through the plum and to his doom.

When you jump on the rising nenuphar and instead of it materializing, you phase though it and fall in the water

When the knockback from enemies keeps making you fall off the edge and get killed.
