If you want an unbiased opinion of the game, keep a watch on Sonic Retro or Sonic Stadium, they always do a review and because they are written by dedicated fans, they don't sugar coat, or try their best to knock the game for no reason. Even when I disagree with them, their points always are valid.
For example, IGN gave Sonic 4: Episode I a high scoring review, but as a negative criticism, complained it had no co-op. They didn't even mention anything about the terrible physics, like many Sonic fans can.

Heck, if you guys want, I could post a review here when I get Sonic Lost World. I won't post the review until I've at least finished the story, but I will post my impressions and some screenshots as I play the game. And I may record footage somewhere along the line.
I wouldn't mind seeing you do a Lost World review. As for what you said, your right. It's just apart of me doesn't want that "Sonic sucks" mentality to continue, especially after Colors and Generations.

Yeah, I'm sick of nearly every "professional" Sonic review opening with "four score and seven years ago, Sonic the Hedgehog was a force to be reckoned with, but then 2006 happened".

it's true, but it will probably change real soon.

I found out that Jim is one of those people who believes that going slowing down makes a Sonic game bad. So that's another reason to not trust him.
Here's his Colors review if you guys are interested. http://www.destructoid.com/review-sonic ... 7691.phtml

well that opinion was..."liberal." if i had to pick a color to describe the baised reviewer that wrote that, "i'd pick brown, for obvious reasons."

Lost Worlds looks amazing so far, I want this game as soon as I get a Wii U.

Hm, I do wonder how the 3DS version will turn out, it looks really good, even with DIMPS behind it.

sonicbrawler182 wrote:While Unleashed next gen is one of my favourite games, it's not the kind of game that I expect people to love. But at the same time, I think calling it terrible is really pushing it. It's AT LEAST mediocre - the game functions well, and it's production values were through the roof. Most of the criticisms made my IGN and what not were completely untrue, such as "consistently unresponsive controls". Unleashed and Generations do have the odd bit of unresponsiveness, but nothing worth docking points over. It's very rare, from my experience.

The WiiS2 version, on the other hand, while still decent enough, does NOT deserve more than the next gen version. I actually get quite a kick out of the Werehog's stages in the next gen version, but in the WiiS2 version, there are only 3 or 4 stages I enjoyed. The rest were either filled with too much bland fighting (as the WiiS2 version hardly had any moves, and felt real stiff), or awkwardly designed platforming sections. And while the daytime stages are still good fun in the WiiS2 version, I don't think I need to go into how much better they are in the next gen versions.

Also, some interesting news has surfaced:
http://www.sonicstadium.org/2013/10/seg ... er-egmont/
I rage quited WiiS2 version many times because of Warehog stages :P
Next Gen version was much better with Warehog stages and for the first time I actually kinda enjoyed them a bit while I hated them in WiiS3 version

Apparently a Sonic Lost World demo is available... in Japan, you guys think we'll be getting it soon?

NINJA'D

http://www.sonicretro.org/2013/10/sonic ... -in-japan/

There is a demo for both versions of Sonic Lost World available in Japan now. Likelihood is the rest of the world will see them in the next two days (EU demo tomorrow, US demo Firday).

So if you have either system, and are interested in the game, keep your eyes peeled. I'll report back tomorrow on whether or not the demos are out in Europe, and I will post impressions.

Happy to hear this, Saturday might not be a good day for them to release the demo though since Pokemon X comes out for me.

Actually, the eShop usually updates on Thursdays. So the U.S could get it tomorrow.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the US update day, I assumed someone would correct me if I was wrong. :P

But yeah, I'm looking forward to this. The game is only a week away at this point, but I still want to get a feel for the new controls of both versions.

I hear Kanemaru's voice when Sonic is jumping. I wonder will they put option in 3DS version to swich voice effects for Sonic between Roger and Kanemaru. Probably not since it's not full voice acting.
