Really? I wasn't aware of that.

No, I genuinely wasn't aware. (Or maybe I did know at one time but forgot

)

Awesome! I always wanted to be able to get some close-ups of Ly for reference. Nice!

Oh man this is like what happened when we used the moonjump cheat in the Dreamcast version, didn't know the same could be done in RR. X'D

tarantella". Seems logical, but I'm wondering if that was intentional on the part of Chévalier, or if that person picked it up wrong and he [Chévalier] was actually trying to do something else.
Still wondering if anyone has anything to say about this. (Probably not, but you never know

Odd question but what would anyone think if they remade Rayman 2 for the PS4/Xbox One. Now don't get me wrong, not a port, or HD graphics remake, but a complete remake. Imagine Rayman 2 with CGI cutscenes, imagine the beautiful colours in full HD and the music sounding even better, added with some crisp new level designs. (Possibly all the ports their ''Exclusive levels and bosses thrown in there aswell.)
Rayman 2 is my favorite game of all time, so I'm a bit of a big fanboy behind it, haha, it's probably not needed.

So are we talking along the lines of Revolution, only even more modern? Or something that's closer to the original? It's an interesting concept all right, though I doubt Ubisoft would be willing to invest the resources to make something like that. It could be a nice fan project…

Ultra-super-hyper modern HD cartoon graphics. Also the ''scary'' enemies, would actually look scary. Just imagine Cave of Bad Dreams not just being scary when you're a kid.
It's most likely not going to happen, and I'd much rather prefer Rayman 4 but this could be amazingly beautiful too, atleast to me yo.

Hmm, given the various...shall we say, interpretation of Rayman 2, I'd like to see them collated together to make an even better base game to work off. There's certain aspects of Revolution I've come to like (for instance, its design of the Cave of Bad Dreams).

I agree, the Cave of Bad Dreams in Revolution is much better and more creepier in my opinion. The whole purple aura was great and I believe there was an added area right before you fight the little Jano's? Revolution definitely has a lot of nice added aspects such as the HUB world which I really liked, plus the Grolem 13 battle.

The Cave of Bad Dreams in Revolution is better by far in the atmosphere itself. It is a shame it didn't have as many bats as in the Dreamcast version. It also makes lots of sense there are no Yellow Lums to find in it.

Speaking of Rayman Revolution, I wasn't aware it had a release on PSN for PS3.
To those who own that digital copy, can you see any graphical improvements?

Hmm, the hub worlds were nice for me, though I know some have their preferences to the Hall of Doors, and I've heard their rather sound reasoning due to the nature and aesthetic of the Hall in comparison to the more earthly Front. I do dislike how they mucked a few things about, mixing and mashing the Echoing Caves, Precipice and Top of the World wasn't really all that necessary. Though, I don't really mind what they did to the Iron Mountains and Pirate Mines because they made it seem a little more justified in comparison.
Back on the Cave, indeed, the change from having the old thorns into that rather alien purple substance was nice, and changing the hue from blue to purple gave the feel that this substance was glowing, giving an even more alien feel to it. I think it fit the idea of being the repository of Polokus' nightmares a little better than just having recoloured thorns.
@Em, I doubt there'd be any enhancements, it was one of those PS2 downloadable port, not a remake.

It definitely fitted Polokus' nightmares more, too bad you can only pretty much visit it once however, I'd love to be able to go back.

Like I said before, the thorns weren't actually recoloured, they just lit the map entirely in blue (which itself was kind of a cop-out!).

Ah yes, my mistake. Either ways, I think we can agree that the creation of new assets did help the Cave feel more as we think it should be.

Talking about new assest, I'm sure this has been asked around on the forum, but what is errone's op onion on Grolem 13?

Hmm, I remember we discussing Grolem 13 not too long ago, lemme see if I can find where that conversation started.
