Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Yeah, let's do both of those. I've added Steam Controller as well to the first one.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Good idea there. We'll I've never used a Steam controller before and I have always liked the bigger Xbox controllers, so I'm going with Xbox personally. They even just work perfectly because the games are designed to work with them.
For some reason, I can see PlayStation winning if keyboard and mouse doesn't. The evidence of Rayman Legends having a lot more votes on PS4 vs Xbox should prove that.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
To be honest. I am not really a person who plays games on a PC. But because of emulators, my interest is kinda drawn back to that.
I am a lot comfortable with Keyboard and Mouse. If I was playing a PC game with a controller, I would feel like the controls are kinda loose and dodgy for some reason.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I've just always used controllers all my life for games and I much prefer the Xbox ones because they fit in my hands better. They just feel much more comfortable for me to use.
There are certain games I wouldn't mind using the mouse and keyboard for, it's not like I hate them or anything. I just feel like with 3D platformers, it really is beneficial to use a controller because of the analog stick.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Back to a turnout of 4? Well, that's good enough really. Let's keep going with these!
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Whenever I had to type things for my assignments at my original school. Everything on a page must be justified, as far as I remember. But I liked how there is an option that just shifts things that are inside a paragraph foward enough to keep them levelled almost the same. That looks a lot more impressive to the eye in my opinion since everything wouldn't look like a big chunk of words.
Maybe even without any hyphenations.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I don't like hyphenation personally. It's annoying and sometimes makes it take longer to grasp the sense of a word.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'm going to go with justified also because it looks neater, and just like Plum says, I also don't like the hyphenation.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I use hyphenations more when I write by hand than using it when I type. :\
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Personally I always justify text when writing something. Also, I use hyphenation whenever possible to keep interword spaces consistent.

Yay, justified is awesome!
Here's a fairly random one about vocabulary. I can explain further if needs be.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Hmm, maybe jealous is supposed to convey a stronger feeling than envious?

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
When I think of envying somebody, I think of admiring that person and looking up to him/her. When I'm jealous of somebody, I basically want what he/she has. So I think there is a distinct difference there.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Yeah I don't think it's the same thing. It's similar, but it's not exactly the same. Jealousy makes someone literally act like an asshole to the person they're jealous of. They're jealous of losing something such as a friend or loved one, whereas being envious would be just that the other party has something they never had, but wanted.
Like how I'd have been envious that Hoodcom had an OLED TV and I didn't, but now I do.
I still don't have a good sound system though.

Yeah, that's it. Hooray for observing distinctions!Steo wrote: Sun Jan 13, 2019 5:50 pm Yeah I don't think it's the same thing. It's similar, but it's not exactly the same. Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'm thrilled about self-driving cars! Even though they raise some ethical concerns that we're not too sure yet how to solve, they're already safer than human drivers and could make our lives so much easier. You could just sleep through a long night drive and not waste any more time traveling.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'm going with exciting, and if we could afford self flying planes then we'd never even have any plane accidents. Planes are much safer than cars due to people driving while looking at their phones, being drunk, or being high on other substances. Basically, people being idiotic or under the influence, and that's why I feel like self driving cars would make things safer.
There was recently an accident near me where a woman had a diabetic fit and went up the junction on the wrong side of the road on the motorway. That cost her her life, and while I don't know what was going through her mind at the time, I don't know why she didn't just pull over when she didn't feel well.

Looks like I forgot to set a time limit on the poll.
Well, let's stick with it for now.
