Now if you go to London you'll find almost 90% of the languages...

I just realized there were two others, but I think they're dead… I guess I'm missing languages that traditionally would have been spoken elsewhere?

Possibly! and i do find it rather sad how many dead/extinct languages are in the British isles

On top of my head, English, Scots, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Manx and Cornish, though I think the latter is extinct?

A bit less than that on the actual Great Britain island (you got them all from the British isles except French )

Yeah, I read the question a bit too fast, obviously the Isle of Man is a separate island. As for the British Isles as a whole though, we probably shouldn't forget Irish.

I wish there was a number to tell me how many languages there actually are. For all I know there could be hundreds!

There probably was, before WE invaded and imposed the English language on the Celts casually living their lives

Worldwide? More like thousands, though it's often an arbitrary decision to tell what is a dialect and what is a different language.

You mean the ones with the most native speakers? Not sure which of Welsh and Scots have the most.

Yeah, that happened in a lot of places.

Well, technically Scots is just an English dialect, but you can give 3 if you wanna play it safe

It can't be that hard... English (England+Scotland+Wales), Scots (Scotland) (not Scottish) and Welsh (Wales) is my final answer xDD

Correct! Spoken in the rest of the UK are English, Welsh, Scots, Scottish, Irish, French and Manx, and formerly spoken were Cumbric, Cornish, Common Brythonic, Pictish, Norn, Nordic and probably more I’m forgetting!
