No idea about Half Life, but we can try with the bonus question
Let's say...
-Prince of Persia: Sands of time + BG&E
-Splinter Cell + Far Cry
That's actually a good guess! You are, like, 70% correct?
However, there does exist another pair you haven't mentioned and it is in fact closer than you think (don't want to give it away with a more specific clue).

Also, which one is advertising the other one here?

Reminds me of when you buy a Mortal Kombat X Special Edition on eBay and it wants to ask you whether you want a Teletubbies plushy with that.

Imagine buying a teletubbies plush and being offered a free disc of MKX

Actually, I realize now that they both make perfect sense.

Originally it was Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
I guess since TF2 became free, and since the episodes were merged into the main game recently, it's just HL2 and Portal
I feel like being lazy and staying on the topic of Half-Life and collections.
Q14. Which games were included in the the most complete version of Half-Life Platinum Collection a.k.a. Half-Life: Generation?
@PluMGMK - care to answer the question so we could move on?

Ha, OK. Well, let's give it 24 hours to see if anyone comes close enough with a guess, and I'll think of a new question in the meanwhile.

Alright, the answer is: Half-Life, Team Fortress Classic, Opposing Force, Counter-Strike, Blue Shift.
Basically, everything pre-HL2. Can't believe no one thought of it.
Q14a. What is Baldur's Gate in the series of roleplaying games of the same name?
Bonus Question 1. in the early 2000s, the North-American PC releases of some Ubisoft games included two pairs of games advertising one another on the back cover of each other's manual booklet. Meaning - booklet of game A was advertising game B, and vice versa, and booklet of game C was advertising game D, and vice versa. Which are the game pairs A-B and C-D?

This is the only answer so far that wasn't wrong, so I'm going to give you the point.
There is no way in hell such lazy low-effort answers would get anyone anything in the TTQ, but hey, we got to keep things moving here.
The real answer is, of course - a city. More specifically, a city on the coast. I was certain there were some fans of Forgotten Realms here. None of you read anything from The Legend of Drizzt?

Which game, nonexistent at the time, was the piece jokinly referring to?

Good guess, but no. The humorous piece was published in 2009. CoD existed already. Hint: the actual game with the same title been released not too long ago.

In 2009 MW2 existed, so maybe they were referring to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

Thatr is correct! Here's the video, I find it hilarious.
Actual MW3 came out in 2023. I may have preferred the fictional one.

Thank you, Dave!
Indeed, compared to the first game, NFS2 does away with cops, and also with segmented (non-circular) tracks. Between that and the much more arcade-y style of the game, some fans were disappointed, but no doubt it made the game much more accessible to the general audience.

Q17. Most of the action in the original trilogy of 3D Grand Theft Auto games - GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas takes place in five fictional cities, based very clearly on real US cities. Which are the real cities? The point will go to whoever can name the most in 72 hours. DaveRattlehead got 2 points in a row and should skip this question.
