sonicbrawler182 wrote:And that [three years ago] was then. This is now.
I'd like to point out that I've only been a moderator since June. All of the current orange moderators have only held the position since June, bar Hoodcom, who also held a moderating post back some six or seven years ago. Someone clearly hasn't been doing their research and is a nasty, nasty hypocrite!
sonicbrawler182 wrote:I've stumbled upon Adsol's older posts (such as when his Rayman 2 quiz was bumped). He was a much more well mannered person then.
Not really, I just had more time then to participate in less noteworthy discussion, so a smaller percentage of my posts were like this. I haven't become less 'well-mannered', I often avoided those situations simply because I hadn't developed a good enough rationale to participate in them.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:or when he is flat out wrong (at least in his discussions with me
Despite the fact that I countered your points from two different logical angles, and you refused to reply? Flat-out wrong, am I? Believe me, I admit when I'm wrong or have gone too far, that's how I became an Atheist - in fact, I even apologised to you and said it was wrong of me to have made that personal remark about your education during the GTA discussion. Fucking hypocrite.
While I may not be the most polite person around, I tend to avoid making posts in which I may end up being wrong, because I consider as many viewpoints and angles as I can fathom before I hit Submit, thus reinforcing that my arguments are strong enough. I do once in a while run into a situation where I am wrong (such as the one I mentioned), but I don't generally consider that to be a regular thing, and I do everything in my power
before I post to make sure that I won't be at any point.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:I'm not blind, I saw that post. Problem with it was, her argument was not realistic in the slightest. She failed to acknowledge SwapNote's lack of an end user agreement (that alone turned her argument on it's head, but then....). She failed to acknowledge the child molestation incident that prompted Nintendo to SUSPEND (she constantly claimed it was shut down permanently, which is untrue).
All of these things directly reinforce her point and mine; if Nintendo were strained by doing what they're already doing, they may not have been able to afford fixing their image, so they shut it down; specific incidents don't need to be explored.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:I purposely did not mention the child molestation incident in this topic (however, I did hint to it) because I wanted to see if the people I was discussing the issue with were doing their research, and would find this out for themselves (and believe me, it wasn't hard information to come by). Turns out they weren't, which completely invalidates everything Haruka said.
No it doesn't? For all you know, everyone else could have been doing the exact same as you: testing everyone else's feeble intelligence.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:This being a discussion about Nintendo means you had no grounds to bring up rash accusations about me, that had nothing to do with the discussion. (...) As I've said time and time again, if you have an issue with me, take it to PM. This is basic code of conduct on a forum.
You clearly do not understand how this forum works.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:The site is basically becoming a ghost town, and many potential new users were driven away.
You seem blissfully unaware that these last few months are the most popular the forum has ever been, which demonstrates both your utterly newbish knowledge of the place and that our 'abysmal' bevhariour has little to nothing to do with the high activity. As for the quality of our behaviour, well, no one else seems to have a problem with it aside from you.

That what? I was looking forward to reading your response.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:as a mod, he should of been more mature in his actions (see the rolesfamily topic - he should of deleted that when it was made. As a mod, that is one of his responsibilities.
Again, you clearly do not understand how this forum works. Why would I delete the thread? I respect the integrity of free speech, now quit moderating a forum you don't understand, paddy nugget, and actually make the slightest attempt to be relevant.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:Instead, he got in a hissyfit with a member over something pointless, and specifically did so to have other people gang up on roles - because Ad didn't like roles - a harmless user, who Ad assumed EVERYONE had a problem with - everyone being, his circle of friends)?
Lolwut, pointless hissyfits on my part? I wasn't the one who spontaneously jumped on the IRC, flaming about a little post Serza made asking him to be more relevant, then created a thread about it. As for the conclusion of the situation, the discussion ended in private (which was our choice), in which he realised his irrationality and apologised, we exchanged a couple friendly words, and it was all reconciled nicely.
I'd also like to point out that I was not the first person to make a comment toward roles, rather the third or forth person. In fact, I was only one of multiple people partaking in the discussion, and I only really took the wheel after he created that thread. Why you make it sound like I'm the driving force behind every single conflict on this forum I have no idea, but you seem to keep on referring back to the roles situation, which, ironically for you, I didn't even prominently make my voice heard in until the latter half of the situation, let alone start the bloody thing.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:And moderator or not,
Why do you keep doing this? You make it sound like I'm asserting some authoritative dominance over you, which I never at any point did, nor would I.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:This has everything to do with you being a mod, because you are essentially a figure head on this site.
Last I recall, now please alert me if I'm making a poor self-assessment, but I don't believe I'm generally someone people hate or have many problems with.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:But considering how I've, on a forum I'm a long time member of, trumped people just like Ad on multiple occasions
Getting personal, are we? I am deeply offended, I say! Take it back, I say!
Fucking hypocrite.
sonicbrawler182 @ Haruka wrote:The rest of the post is ignorance without substance.
LOL NOPE.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:BTW, on another site, I was also suggested as mod material by multiple people. I guess that puts Ad and I on even ground, then. Not to mention I am a class rep in college, which is essentially a real life moderator of class.
I don't care; the fact that you're even debating grounds (which you yourself brought up) I find to be quite wrong. Uneven ground does not exist in rational light to me, so your claims of rank in other places have no bearing on my thoughts toward you whatsoever, nor should they.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:I think he could add me to whatever ego-rubbing tumblr "fandom" he has (assuming it's real, and I hope for his credibility it's not real)
Technically, if it were for the credibility of his post, then it would have to be real, which it most certainly is. Calm down and use that fabled logic thing.

This quote is absolutely hilarious for reasons I unfortunately cannot disclose.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:(including well known members), been suggested for mod (I did not get the position as I did not want it, so I did not apply. And the site admin handpicked the mods, so no voting involved - which admittedly led to some bad choices), been the site therapist (not my term), been told I should take courses in Video Games Design, Psychology, and Philosophy, been the cause of multiple forum members finding love, been the cause of former members having their sexual frustrations sorted out by their lover (this one was really recent, actually), saved both friends and strangers on the site from suicide, took responsibility when mods were too cowardly or outright lazy to sort out various disputes, motivated people who were ready to give up on their artistic aspirations, received and sent birthday gifts from and to fellow forum members (none of which I requested, they were surprises), become friendly with the parents of forum members (having lovely conversations about art and such), exposed pedophiles on the site, been known to admit when I'm wrong - and MANY other things
Once again, I really don't care to hear you arrogantly gloat about your past triumphs, when you literally do it just for the sake of attempting to add a spec of validity to your statements. For reference, since you seem to think this makes you such a good person, I myself have done most of those things you've listed around here as well; I don't feel good for telling you this, because it has absolutely nothing to do with the situation at hand, and in context, it makes me feel arrogant myself, even though it's purely for reference. But I applaud you for being such a beautiful person on those other forums that you've been a part of, good job, Irish. Saving lives is great, and a really great thing to feel, really. However, your stubborn attitude around this forum quite frankly makes me depressed, and I think it's become abundantly clear that members, both fresh and veteran, don't appreciate it either.
I understand the way you think, and you have the mindset of a star who has never been in a place where others are willing to argue as 'intelligently' as you do. You lack humility.
Luckily, I waltzed into this place when I was thirteen, so I've always been exposed to it coming from the senior members at the time, and now.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:I've been around.
I'm more inclined to take this as an excuse for your pathetic attitude (you know, sometimes hardshipped people can be a bit unstable!) rather than something to admire you for. If you'd rather gloat about your hardships and adventures as a means for respect whilst putting down others as a means of showing off that you know what you're talking about, then you clearly haven't put your experience to good use.
You seem troubled and/or suffering from some chronic stress disorder likely as a result of trauma and/or hardships boring at you from the past. Would you like to choose one cup from a various assortment of teas to take home?
