It's original.
If that is true, then I'm highly disappointed. I really would love to have a longer version. It's such a nice tune.

Maybe performance is original, but composition may derive from some classical music.
I'd ask on some classical music forums, or OST.

Composing in a style that isn't modern doesn't increase probability of it not being original.

Of course. But it even sounds like a part of something longer. Despite of a ~baroque(?) style.

Just tried Soundhound and Shazam. They weren't able to identify the part. It seems that it is certainly an original composition. I'm very sadden by this seeing as I really love this tune and hoped to find a standalone version of the song.

Mhh, I've noticed something interesting. Well at least it is interesting for me. While looking at my Rayman folders on my computer, I've spotted this screenshot and looked at it for a while till I noticed something.

Image

One of his shoe shows his beta shoe! The Rayman 2 shoe he actually had in those strange Rayman 3 beta pictures, like this one.

Image

Looks like the same shoe! So I guess, the developer's forgot to remove the beta shoe in this cutscene. No big deal, but still interesting.

Hmm, wonder what else lurks in the Rayman 3 cutscenes, we're already aware of the Rayman 2 design showing up in the Knareen cutscene.

Rayman 3 HD and Rayman Origins are both now available on the Playstation Now streaming service, so if you ever wanted to play Rayman 3 on vita without proper triggers, or either game with input lag that ranges from barely noticeable to completely unplayable depending on how well your internet connection wants to treat you, well, there ya go.

So Rayman 3 is now on a handheld console?

Never thought I'd see the day...

It's progress. Pity how PS4 has to use cloud gaming to play the ol' titles, given how the Xbox One has converted backwards compatible versions to download instead.

I've always noticed that something was off in that Rayman 3 cutscenes, since I was a child I always wondered what it was :P thanks for making me notice it, I wonder why they didn't remove the R2 shoe

This WOULD be awesome if it could extend longer and it didn't have any input lag. I used remote play through my PS4 to my PC and it was laggy as all hell so I can only imagine this.

It could be, that Ubisoft forgot to delete the beta shoes or this cutscene was meant to be in the early Beta version of Rayman 3! I always found this cutscene strange, lol. Well, like seen in the Beta picture of Rayman 3, Raymans hoodie is yellow instead of red for unknown reasons. It is hard to see if the hoodie of Rayman is yellow or red in the first screenshot, due the colours. Maybe Ubisoft added a little secret into the cutscene! We never will know!

Another wierd thing is that in one cutscene, Rayman's face shrinks when he blinks :confus:

Oh yeah

But it's more of an error, not some beta stuff not removed by Ubisoft, I wonder what else is hidden in these cutscenes.
EDIT: Speaking of errors, in that Hoodlums Headquarters cutscene, why the heck is Rayman's hair purple-ish and white? This is the other thing that always bothered me...

Does anyone know if it's possible emulating a gamecube-gameboy advance connection with Rayman 3 in an emulator? I'd like to try out the bonus levels in Rayman 3 GBA this way, though I can't get it to work.

Sure! It's a bit complicated and I don't have the time to explain it today, but I'll try to explain tomorrow if I remember.

Thank you! I tried connecting VBA-M to Dolphin by using the link with option in VBA-M (according to guides there should be a joybus option, though it wasn't there...) and by setting one of the controller ports to GBA in Dolphin. I think Dolphin kind of recognized VBA-M, though it didn't work as in Rayman 3 on the GBA it just told me to connect to a gamecube and on Rayman 3 GC it just said something like connect Rayman 3 gamepak and go to some link menu.
