I'm gonna call BULLSHIT on you. The Wii was not a failure. If it was a failure console, how could it sell more units, in the United States, than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 combined in the first half of 2007? It has great games with amazing plots, beautiful level designs, and fantastic music, (Twillight Princess, Galaxy (2), Epic Mickey as an example) and so much more. Including the virtual console, for hardcore gamers. Sure it doesn't have HD, but the PS3 has no game that can match Ocarina Of Time or Donkey Kong Country on the virtual consol, Metroid Other M, Goldeneye and so on. Maybe 1 or 2, but that's besides the point.iambored2006 wrote:Of course the Wii was a failure. Not economically, sure, but the fact is, there aren't any really good games on it. Maybe a few. The Wii is a childish console. I remember my brother telling me this when I was younger and he bought an XBox, and I always said he's wrong and that the Wii is great. I finally understand him.sergiomonty wrote:Mr. Polite Quotes attacks again. Face it, spiraldoor, you lost this time, you're just searching for excuses to complain about anything. Also, many of your points are wrong, wii is by sales much bigger than xbox 360 and ps3, it's popularity is, believe it or not, BIG. You're just taking care about people that have experience in the gaming thing, the "hardcore" people, who we all know they hate wii because it's gay and sd. (this part is for you too, iambored, wii is not a "failure")
Spiral, most of your predictions are usually wrong, you usually officialize things that aren't happening because you think they're "obvious". Don't make me remember you the "different teensy costumes per console version" prediction, which for you was VERY OBVIOUS, but guess what, you were wrong. Stop talking for ubisoft, they didn't say anything official to you, so the C.E will keep as a mystery for all of us. Period.
P.D: I'm not against the factor of the HD being better than SD. HD is great but..heh, I have a Wii, and I can't do anything about that but appreciate what I have.
The Wii's motion controls, however fun they might be for a while in a well designed game, are very gimmicky, just like the Kinect and the PS Move. Gamers just can't play hardcore on the Wii. I also believe that the Wii-U's gonna be a failure, but that's just a matter of opinion.
Can you provide proof that spiral supported the preposterous theory of the Teensies? It seems really strange to me that he would say such a thing. In fact, I seem to remember you as the one suggesting it! (that may be wrong, though...)
And no, I am no fanboy, I have got an PS3 and I enjoy it.
