I'm already translating the Pix N Love article but I don't have uch free time. I'll translate this too. Geez, just stop finding so many articles you damn non-French speakers !

(Btw Candish did a pretty good job on the part she translated so you should use her skils more often hehe).

I was a bit too lazy to translate, but here's the info from the article:
- It was more accessible than R1 in terms of skill challenges but you needed to think more (as in puzzles?). A different concept.
- You had to free all your friends to complete the game.
- The robots come from space and want to turn the planet into a cold ball of metal.
- Rayman's island was rid of Mr Dark ( according to the article, it's an island, and Mr Dark is actually completely gone ).
- Rayman starts out with all his powers from the previous game but then discovers his multidirectional fist, platform fist (you can use your fist as a platform), surface breaking for more secret passages, and swimming. And that's not all.
- He starts using tools like a plunger vehicle, a hook, a laser pistol, and a "deviant", which is something used to be able to make your first rebound. And that's - again - not all.
- Rayman can go into the background as well, which we know.
- He has new friends who follow and help him.
- You were able to mount some animals in the game ( robot dinosaur! ).

... man I want this. It looks like Ancel copied some things from this in the R4 prototype - which got canned again, just like this R2 prototype. Damn.
I mean, plungers? RRR, anyone? The ability to use tools and mount animals? Uh... R4 prototype?
And some things got implemented in the final R2 as well. Freeing your friends (Ly, Globox), puzzles (sanctuaries!), rebounding "fist", friends who follow and help...

Interesting, but it is also noticible that some stuff from the R2 prototype were brought to the final version of Rayman 2.

we must find more informations about the prototyp but íts really hard to find them i will search for it.


Edit: here is something abou michel ancels biographie but the pages are to little there is something about rayman origins i wounder that they will say i know its not so important the information.

thanks i search google and other things and i use most google french because rayman is french and so i find it.

That 3D rendition of Rayman, Bzzit and the Electoon in the Dream Forest is absolutely amazing. Is it the cover of some special edition of this issue?

And will anyone volunteer to purchase and scan the latest issue, with the lengthy Ancel interview? I would like to order it myself, but I’ve got no credit card.

I would love to get it. I would buy but I have one problem: I need more people to ask me drawing comissions... Like that I could buy this with no problem. I'm currently limited with the money.

You are doing a fantastic work by finding all of these images/scans. I thank you a lot, and the others too for sure.

I enjoyed this review, and I also agree that the game runs smoothly at 60 FPS. I got amazed when I played this version in a real Dreamcast: the smoothness and the sharp-controls are impressive.

I love how the second reviewer says that ‘the original game was – despite selling like hot comestibles – a bit of a shocker’ and informs us that ‘when Ubi Soft announced that it was working on a sequel, there was barely a murmur of excitement’. Is this some sort of professional piss-taking magazine?

I had the issue before this, unfortunately it's very badly cut to pieces so I can't scan, but it had a preview of Rayman 2 saying it was about 90% complete.

i search long time a wierd pic i and my boyfriend asking why this is not in rayman 3 maybe fake but it looks real DX
i found it on a rayman fan site the site was french

i only can open it in rar data because there is some error with the pic you need winrar
