Dango, on Summer in Portugal, you can feel without any problems 30ºC but there are DAYS that it reaches 40ºC and the hotest day ever that I remember to feel was 43ºC. I almost converted from flesh to sweat! :tssk:

I suppose because you're used to it. You'd probably freeze if you came to the UK.

You've got to be kidding, for me 30ºC is already too much heat, and on 40ºC I'm roasted.
I would love to feel cold weather most of time.

If you tried a typical North-european winter for just one week, you'd get tired of it. Believe me.

You don't have typical North-European winters in Denmark. :?

The average temperature in January and February is barely below 0 degrees Celsius, and your country is as flat as a pancake. Very little snow too, from what I've heard and read (and judging by the lack of any good Danish skiers). The other Northern European countries are colder, with far more snowy winters.

Well, of course there are different temperatures, and of course it's alot colder when you live in a country full of montains. I don't know what causes the lack of snow, but it isn't because it's too warm.

Yeah, it is. Because your average winter temperature is relatively high, the ground doesn't freeze, like it does here. If the ground doesn't freeze, any snow will melt fairly quickly even if the temperature in the air is below 0 degrees Celsius.

Nah, it isn't. You see, we do have snow here every Winter, and it stays on the ground for several days. We just don't get loads of it, just thin layers. But the temperature is pretty much the same through the whole season, so the only thing that could cause it would be the lack of rain. End of argument.

My walk home from school today was a repeat of Friday's, apart from the fact that there were no hailstones this time.

It's so hot here... Australian summers are not fun when it comes to temperature.

It's pouring with rain and it will be so for the next couple days. I hate the weather at this time of year.

Places in the west of Ireland are flooded out. I managed to get through the day without being soaked by rain directly (even though I was standing in it for 45 minutes) but I got splashed by a car on the way to school. :pascontent:
