Rayman origins is the start of a new rayman game. I wonder if it's going to have certant episodes.

Readin' official blog doesn't hurt, really. Why episodes?
To release one this year, and because big games take a long time to make, which in turns makes their price high.
With episodes, the price must be proportional to the size of the game, there is no way we are taking gamers for fools!
Episodes also let us imagine a longer and more developed saga than with a more “classical” format.
Oh yes, and there is a golden rule: the size of each episode and its replayability must be important enough to make the players feel … fulfilled.
Sorry I'm focusing a little too much on sonic 4, yeah episodes would be gay.Tulio wrote:Rayfist090 wrote:Rayman origins is the start of a new rayman game. I wonder if it's going to have certant episodes.Readin' official blog doesn't hurt, really. Why episodes?

He surely doesn't! Right Rayfist?Tulio wrote:Also anything against 'gays'? -_-
Contudo só o trailer em si, a conferência da E3 2010 e a entrevista que está no início deste tópico, já nos dá uma ligeira ideia de que este jogo promete.thebrazilianskaarj wrote:i liked the idea of ubisoft of making a game explain the origins of rayman, finaly, after so many years, the mystery will be dicovered.
also if i need to put a note on this game it would be 10/10
One thing that irks me is that in Rayman 1, Betilla introduces herself to Rayman, stating "I am Betilla the fairy". She could have just been reaffirming that it was her, or maybe Rayman didn't remember her from Origins.Haruka wrote:

There's also always the argument that RO could be ignoring the past installments in the series to 'start over' with a clean slate while still using some of the same characters. There are tons and tons of continuity errors from earlier games that would make it rather difficult to work with as far as something like Rayman's origin would go...Sabertooth1000000000 wrote: One thing that irks me is that in Rayman 1, Betilla introduces herself to Rayman, stating "I am Betilla the fairy". I hate that concept. I don't anything to argue against it with, but I just hate it. Any continuity errors could easily be explained with a little open-mindedness anyway.Ephriokko wrote:There's also always the argument that RO could be ignoring the past installments in the series to 'start over' with a clean slate while still using some of the same characters. Yeah, I can understand why someone would hate the idea. But even if it isn't the case canonically, I'm sure the fandom(AKA you guys) will find a way to connect all of the games anyways. Things like that happen all the time!Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:I hate that concept. I don't anything to argue against it with, but I just hate it. That's why I believe that Rayman on the final episode (I wonder which date of release will be) of Origins, he will someway lose his abilities and forget almost everything. Unless it exists a continuing error.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote: One thing that irks me is that in Rayman 1, Betilla introduces herself to Rayman, stating "I am Betilla the fairy". Whoa. That actually reminds me of a speculative one-shot fic I wrote a few days after I first learned of Rayman Origins. It's not exactly the same, but it sure rung a bell in my head!Haruka wrote:That's why I believe that Rayman on the final episode (I wonder which date of release will be) of Origins, he will someway lose his abilities and forget almost everything. I don't think we're going to get an explanation. Ever played an RPG? Ever played the sequel of the same RPG? Notice how you lose all that cool stuff you collected in Unnamed RPG 1? This seems to be the same thing, in reverse (he has all his powers in the prequel as opposed to losing them in the sequel).Ephriokko wrote:it was at least my way of explaining why Rayman wouldn't have any powers at the beginning of the first Rayman game(he couldn't even throw a punch!)
