Though I'd be quite worried for the grasping at straws if one has to bootleg a fanmade patch.

The only factor I am worried about is if the bootleg doesn't bring the quality that the original provides and spreads all over the internet and people accidently refer that to be the original

Given the user and their past habitual posts, I wouldn't get worried.
