I'm one of them, but the unfortunate part is that I'm not yet experienced enough to achieve my vision and thus cannot contribute in a useful way.

My knowledge of CSS is minuscule, it was part of my first year computing course, but featured so lightly that it really didn't teach much in regards to it.

RaymanPC is fully functional on mobile devices as is and looks great too. Such as my phone. Sure we have no 'mobile' version, but I think it works fine as is.
Besides, I think it requires more than just css work, since mobile supported sites seem to have means of auto detection and likely seperate template files as well.
Not sure if the PHPBB team has added a way of adding a mobile version or even plans to.

Actually internet forums nowadays still haven't followed the trend of web 2.0... they're still lagging behind, and phpBB is becoming obsolete when it comes to UX (User eXperience).
This might very well be the future of forums.

There is one community I know of with a mobile version, but they developed the entire system themselves, I
think.

It is but it is lagging a lot when I try to type. When I finish typing, I can see keyboard typing itself. It is really big delay.

Really? How odd, I never experienced any form of lag when typing.

What device do you have?

I couldn't agree more. The only way for us to have an AJAX-based, responsive forum system is to create it from scratch.

Jailbroken iPhone 4 and Xperia Play.
Anyways I noticed transactions page does not work.

... or wait for
http://discourse.org/, which I've linked in my previous post, to mature.
I think there's a CSS issue here.
That's a link, but it looks like normal text in my post (but not in *this* post, inside that quote). (Firefox 23.0.1)

The decisions taken for phpBB4 sound great as well but it's nowhere near finished. Or even started.

Ah well. We've had some good years with phpBB2 & 3.

I looked into Discourse and however interesting it seems, I think it looks too different from the standard forum. A clear separation of categories is sometimes needed, for example French and English forum, and so is an advanced hierarchy, which it doesn't seem to support. But maybe that's what forums are meant to evolve towards, only time will tell.

Well that's a design choice. It's all about tags, and tags are utterly superior to categories. Time to go semantic, bitches !

I honestly prefer how RaymanPC operates now, in terms of both appearance and functionality. I wouldn't mind an addition of a mobile theme, since with enough work and time put in, it
could be done and match the existing style.
As it is, I feel how the forums should operate.

What is achieved by categories here could also be achieved by tags, but doesn't seem to be supported by Discourse. Maybe that'll change!

That's awesome that you guys are doing a 'lums race' sort of arrangement! Looks like I'm going to be playing through Rayman 3 again to get a high score! It'd be tragic to upload my old file from when I was a lot younger, that's probably worth -249 tingz.

Just a quick question about submitting a score onto the hall of fame.
Once you've submitted your score, lets say you go back to play Rayman 3 and improve your score. If you improve your score, and you use your lums race code again, will it update your score on this forum?
Thanks

Yes, your ting count will also update according to the improvement your new score is.
