Re: Rayman 3
Aye, probably not the one I watched, but it's the same thing.
Re: Rayman 3
Hi! How can i use the right stick in my controller to move the camera?
Re: Rayman 3
The camera controls are in the configuration program.
Re: Rayman 3
I've looked further into 2D Nightmare, and it's exactly what we thought it was. The GC version checks to see if all main levels are completed, but when you complete Heart of the Ancients on GBA, it does not record that to the save file. It's a pity really that such a small oversight causes an entire locked minigame.

Re: Rayman 3
So a long running mystery all boiled down to some bad code? That's pretty funny. Still, it's nice to see that all has now been revealed, I think the RayWiki article will need to be updated to note this final finding.
Re: Rayman 3
Oddly enough the wiki already had this info, though I cleaned up the article a bit and clarifying the reason as to why the minigame doesn't unlock.

Re: Rayman 3
I put it there. Previously we weren't sure why the game was checking for the wrong number. It could have been the use of > instead of >= rather than a level failing to save, which is why I left it vague. Until now, that seemed plausible considering the precedent in the Xowar secret. I'm pretty sure requiring >43001 (i.e. >=43002) was not what they intended.

So I thought It would be a good idea to convince my 12 year old brother to play Rayman 3...
The result was him creating a turtle gang bang.

12 year olds are complete idiots.
And about 80% of teenagers as well.

Well I thought it was pretty funny
Well I did not really expect everyone to be so patronizing but I guess that's how it goes.

Eh, while I'm not one for crude humour, it's nothing to throw a huge fuss over. "No point in being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes."
Re: Rayman 3
Hi!
I've gotten Rayman 3 to work in Dolphin VR (an emulator that supports Oculus and Vive headsets), and I was wondering if this thread would be an okay place to post gameplay of Rayman 3 in VR here.
So far I've recorded up until "The Heart Of The World" and ran into some interesting graphical oddities, and because I look around during cutscenes you can see a lot of static models and get an idea of what certain models do and where they're placed when they're beyond the range of the camera.
The VR itself is highly impressive to me, and it does truly feel like you're in the world of Rayman. However, those of you who have no experience with it can't really see the effects through a youtube video.
Do you guys think it would be beneficial to post gameplay footage here? If not, then I'll refrain from doing so.
Keep in mind however that my FPS is not especially high due to my rig not exactly coming to terms with the load of both VR rendering and Dolphin running at the same time.

Sure you can post a video of yours here! I'd be very interested myself to see how it'd look like.KWO wrote:Hi!

Re: Rayman 3
Hmm, doesn't YouTube support VR videos?
Either ways, I'm game.
Either ways, I'm game.
Re: Rayman 3
Oh yeah interesting! But for the "looking around cutscenes" it's already possible without a VR headset! (Free Look Dolphin feature)KWO wrote:Hi!

You're definitely right in that. The free look function could be used to the same effect.
However with head tracking it's much simpler in my opinion to observe what's going on in real time as I found the free look keys to be a bit jarring at times control-wise.
btw your Detective Conan/Rayman hybrid signature is really cool.
Yeah, since Dolphin mirrors your screen you can just use screen-capture software and upload it to youtube easily. I've done it once prior.Master wrote:Hmm, doesn't YouTube support VR videos?
Either ways, I'm game.
Here's what I'll do then, I'll edit the current footage and then post it up here later. Then you guys can decide if it's worth having in the thread.

Thanks also!
Re: Rayman 3
Here's part one of my VR playthrough.
It'll get more eventful once I reach the fairy council due to more interesting scripted events.
Once again, sorry about the FPS. It's the highest I could get with my setup.
