Anyway, while there aren't many new assets in this scene, I figure you guys deserve at least some kind of info while we're working on our big update. Here's the same scene as before, but much, much more perfected in every way:

That's awesome! I'm not a fan of the overdose of bloom you use, but the textures make it look very painterly and I love that! It's also very curvy/curly, really nice Rayman style you have. Looking forward to the big update!

The level Gemstone Ruins is based off of Gemstone temple - the central area of the map is literally the battlefield layout, but more run-down and overgrown.

Mm, most of the current progress is only in the form of very short videos (enemies, work-in-progress mechanics, etc). The 2012 August Update video is actually out-of-date, just in case you happened to be curious.

We reeeaaally should work on getting that website up. Unfortunately, it still won't be all too soon.

That's fine, any kind of footage is nice, even if it's out of date. I like seeing how a project progresses and changes, and at least I still get to see the skills of the people making the game.

Don't know if help is wanted on this project, but I wouldn't be capable of doing much right now. However, maybe when I've progressed in my studies in Games Design, I could one day lend a hand if it was needed, including the website, as I am also doing a Web Authoring module.

The only thing we really need more help with at the moment is 3D modelling, as I'm the only dedicated 3D modeller on the team, and there are a lot of assets to create. Spanex sometimes helps out with modelling as well, though it's a very secondary thing to her texture work.

It's kind of overwhelming given the amount that needs to be modelled, but we hope to recruit some experienced modellers as time goes by and the project grows. We have contact with an excellent stylised modeller, though he's busy for the next few months.

He'll do what he want with it, its his game after all. Also I think there is going to be a setting to lower the quality so its possible to play for those who's PC can't play it at such high settings a bit like in the stresstest. So I'm pretty sure that anyone will be able to play unless they got a real piece of shit of graphic card and RAM space. Also did you try the stresstest out? If you're able to run any of the qualities settings without too much lag you should be fine to play it.
