Basically, and it has already once in my lifetime. However if I'm in a bus, I'm quite a lot safer, plus I have the other assortment of boons listed above.

Also, I forgot to add that this side of the pond is plagued with horrible drivers and constant traffic-jams. When I was travelling Europe for the Summer in 2011, I remember seeing it as much less of a problem.

At least you have your driving license. I can't give my opinion because I failed to pass the driving exam 1 month ago. I've already driven around 45 hours and I only could get two thirds of the points required to have it. In France the exams for driving are becoming stupidly harder each decade...

A grossly ignorant statement, but conditonally holds some truth. I tend to find that the attitude of the general person is somewhat more open, kind and less irritable/confrontational here than in the South, but when it comes to offence, it's no different than anywhere else. Since Vancouver is factually the biggest drug cartel in North America, there are endless possibilities.
