Oh I remember this game

... Murfy starts pulling out the game manual in Rayman 2.

When the manual keeps giving you the most obvious advices throughout the whole game... And most of them are "to win, you have to get good".

When the Hoodoo puts a shield on you which blocks all your pitiful attacks... and then another Hoodoo shows up and puts a magic shield on the other Hoodoo just to rub salt in the wound.

Perhaps you could use your shield to kill the other hoodlum, then the shielded one!

I think at one point I've even managed to kill a Hoodlum protected by a Hoodoo somehow, and then the Hoodoo never returned... Poor guy just quitted his job.

I was able to get that to happen the most right before the snowboarding section in SBtC

Was it the one in SBTC before the ski slopes?

I think the one I defeated this way was in the Hoodlum Headquarters.

When Rayman grabs you through the screen for a vibe check (which you've obviously failed).

Oh it must have been the Spineroo then! I know of several other places where this can occur, heh

When the Rabbids take over from the first Rayman game already.

There's a couple you can kill with the Shock Rocket in part 2. Are those the ones you're thinking of? Not to mention that Hoodoo-protected Hoodboom in LotLD who can commit suicide!

When Hoodbooms kill all the other hoodlums and then themselves, while you're trying to score, because they know you can't handle them!

It's in the room with the Shock Rocket indeed, but I remember getting them through normal combat, unless I didn't pay attention well-enough to what happened to the Hoodoo...

When you die in Pink Plant Woods part 3.

Imagine if Betilla gave you a rigged power-up there like she does in Redemption's Demise mode.

When Darktoon beats you... In his first fight. During the cutscene.

When Ly gives you infinite time in The Walk of Life.

When you run out of lives in Rayman Redemption's Casual mode.

Does casual mode even have lives? I forgot already.
