Not quite. Here are some hints:
  • You both identified the first (chronologically) game correctly.
  • Only one of you got the last game right, but the other one got the penultimate correct.
  • Both of you mixed up the relative order of the second and the third game.
Anyone may (re)-answer. :D

This is actually remarkably close. It is as close as one can be without being accurate. Therefore, and because two more days went by without anyone offering any more guesses, I'll give you the point!

The correct order is 3,5,1,6,2,4:
The Sands of Time (2002)
Warrior Within (2004)
The Two Thrones (2005)
Prince of Persia (2008 reboot)
The Forgotten Sands (2010)
The Lost Crown (2024)

Q26. Which 5 characters in the Street Fighter 2D era are able to perform the iconic Hadoken and Shoryuken moves (or minor variants thereof)?

Bonus Question 2: Other than being games released on the PC in the 1990s, what do all of the following titles have in common?
Descent, Descent II, Earthworm Jim, Heroes of Might and Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic II, Norse by Norsewest: the Return of the Lost Vikings, Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Quake, Warcraft II.

Some hints for Bonus Question 2:
  • The common to all games is that they have both something and something else.
  • There is a reason why EWJ1 is in the list but EWJ2 isn't.
  • Similarly there is a reason why Warcraft 2 is included but not Warcraft 1.
  • Doom and its sequel could also reasonably be listed.

Let's say they were all ported to different consoles after its initial release, and they all have a coop mode?

Not what I had in mind, and I also don't think it's correct.
I haven't tracked all console ports, but I am fairly confident that at least EWJ, Oddworld and MK of that era do not have any coop modes.

BTW, care to tackle the main question?

Well, well. I didn't think that question will turn out to be so hard. I'll simplify and I will take even a partial answer, like maybe 3 out of 5.

Q26. Which characters in the Street Fighter 2D era are able to perform the iconic Hadoken and Shoryuken moves (or minor variants thereof)?

Ryu, Ken and Akuma.
The other two... Dan and Sakura?

Here is one for the senior gamers: :chinois:

Q27. This PC platformer shoot-em-up developed in Poland in the early 1990s features a cyborg main character, looking a lot like another popular culture cyborg. The game is notoriously difficult, being a 1-hit kill. What game am I talking about?

I take it you added Abe's Oddysee in the list, but didn't mention Abe's Exoddus for the same reason?

Yes, the same reason indeed. Another hint: Abe's Exoddus is not mentioned for exactly the opposite reason that Earthworm Jim 2 is not mentioned.

I'm going to guess they all got remakes in the last 2 gens. EJ2 got canceled and Abe's Exoddus got completely remade into a different game (Soulstorm).
I thought about PC ports, but WC2 and Quake were originally made for PC. :confus:

Some hints as it seems hard:
  • The game was released under similar but slightly different names in Poland versus the rest of the world
  • One phrase you are most likely to hear a lot (every time you get killed) is "We have to be careful. This is an emergency area."
