Sonicbrawler, you are perfectly welcome to express your concerns over the way the community is moderated in the form of constructive criticism and I thank you for that. It also appears that you have significant forum experience; unfortunately this bears very little relevance to Pirate-Community itself, which is unlike any other place on the internet.
You have shared your concern that this place will go down should the team keep moderating it this way. As a matter of fact, this has been the case over the last ten years, as the place only grew to become the largest Rayman community ever despite the absence of any Rayman news for most of its existence, leading us to believe that our methods were a key factor in the site's success. Moreover, while countless internet communities are more active than ours, benefiting from subjects attracting an enormous amount of people, never have I ever seen such a loyal and dedicated community as ours. Most of our active users genuinely love the place and hold it in their heart like no other, which only reinforces our impression that we are doing things right.
I believe that you should take the specificity of the place into account when giving your opinion on any subject related to the community and, most importantly, not express these opinions as unshakeable facts (“This is basic code of conduct on a forum.”) but show humility and openness to discussion instead (how would “I believe this is basic code of conduct on a forum.” sound?). You seem to be an intelligent person and I am confident that you will act accordingly in future.
As for the rest of the argument, I appreciate that both parties have put an end to that sterile discussion and hope that you keep it that way.

I'm not going to take things any further right now as they have just settled down, but:
unfortunately this bears very little relevance to Pirate-Community itself, which is unlike any other place on the internet.
I highly disagree with this statement, speaking from the very forum experience you have just acknowledged I have.
That's all I am willing to say here. I joined this forum for more civil and non-personal discussion, and so I would like to continue this way, and not de-rail this topic any further. These last few arguments have been exceptions, not the norm, for me. Overall, I'm enjoying my stay on this forum, and I have no intentions on leaving or shifting focus (regarding my use of the forum).

So Super Mario 3D World is getting an official soundtrack, and the artwork for it is really cool:
EDIT: OH YEEEEEAAAH!
EDIT 2:
Nintendo completely drops the ball on 3DS Miiverse:

I think reviews for 3D World are coming in, at least, Kotaku anyways: http://kotaku.com/super-mario-3d-world- ... 1467128494
The gist I got from that review is that it's a brilliant game, but lacks some "spark," I guess.

It currently has a 93 on Metacritic which is way above pretty much all of the Ps4 and Xbox Ones launch line up.

Anyone buying a 3DS over the holiday season as well as certain games may be interested in this - Nintendo of Europe are doing a promotion for new 3DS users. Full details in the link, but basically, if you register a 3DS system, and two of 15 eligible games on your Club Nintendo account, you can get a free download code for Super Mario 3D Land.
Here's GameXplain's video review of Super Mario 3D World. In case people haven't heard of them, they are a Nintendo-focused YouTube Channel, and the guy talking is actually a former employee of IGN (who has expressed distaste for them). He also worked at Nintendo's call centre in the past! :V

What the hell is this shit? I want to add people on my Nintendo consoles normally
This freaking fails. Friend codes need to get replaced by actual friend request system, they need to show more support for online friends and they need to make Miiverse same like on Wii U. Things like this are some of major problems I have with Nintendo as a company despite loving their games.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. I thought one of the behind-the-scenes reasons for removing SwapNote would be the fact that Miiverse would make it redundant...but they are, unfortunately, not adding the messaging system or the friend system. Nintendo really dropped the ball here.

Well...Majora's Mask just got much more depressing than it already was for me....

Now here's something pretty neat!
Here's some footage of the live recordings for the soundtrack of Super Mario 3D World. And I've gotta say, this soundtrack is sounding WONDERFUL, like it might be on the same level as Rayman Legends, Lego City Undercover, and Sonic Lost World for me.

Hm, mainstream Mario games seem to have been upping the ante when it comes to soundtracks for some time now, Buoy Base Galaxy is one that I really, really like.
I'm glad to see they're continuing that trend.

Heheh, it's soooo convenient you mention Buoy Base Galaxy just now, because now I can gush about a certain other soundtrack that's kind of slipped under people's noses...
Although I like that song, I've always thought it was a bit boring in comparison to the rest of the soundtrack. The composition was always there, but it just felt like it was missing some much needed energy...
Then along comes Sega Sound Team and they say "let's drop the mothafuckin' Buoy BASS y'aaaaalllll!"

Dubstepped Buoy Base? Interesting.
Meh, I liked the original Buoy Base track for its serene and rather "spacey" sense, yet rather adventurous feel, to each their own.
Also, was that you who made the "bass" pun in the comments?

Buoy Base was one of my favourite tracks from SMG. This sounds rather generic to me.

Take what I said with a pinch of salt - I still really like the original Buoy Base, it's just that it wasn't my favourite track. This version just really stands out, though, to me. I'm not the biggest fan of dubstep, but Sega have done a lot of good dubstep remixes lately in their games. In this game, they also have a dubstep remix of Delfino Plaza.
Also, the comment I made was:
">Dubstep remix
>Galaxy's name is Buoy BASE Galaxy
I SEE WAT DEY DID DAAAR"
Though, the Mario remixes in the new "Mario & Sonic" game are AMAZING in general (we FINALLY got a remix of the Super Mario 64 credits theme! Probably my favourite song from that game, and this version is beautiful! ). Here are my favourites:

Hm, quite a far cry from the Dubstep Buoy Base, these sound quite Jazzy, if I do say so myself.

Yeah, the Mario remixes in this game have great variety - Dubstep, Techno, Jazz, Rock, Orchestral, and lots of things in between.

Hm, this is interesting: http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-co ... et-1201027
It'd be curious if Ninty actually did such a thing, I'm not really sure if it's true or not, but it's definitely something I'd watch closely should it prove true.
