It has infinite lives, that's the joke.
Though it still features lives statues and will give you Tings instead when you collect them.
When you play Demise mode and you start with 0 hp instead of 1.
Fun fact: It's actually possible to start with 0 hp in ReDesigner by editing a level's txt file. Rayman will keep dying again and again until you run out of lives.

It's not worth it at all.
For me, the worst isn't even the difficulty but the tedium of it all due to the Checkpoint being removed and the fact you don't get any lives unless you waste all your Tings away in the shop. The challenge is kind of fun at first, but then it's just a pain...

Yeah. Do you mean the Pink Helpers by that?
When the Pink Ring/Purple Lum flies upwards and takes you to the Moon where you will suffocate.

I'm talking about the mini-boss you fight where you would normally get the gift of punching from Betilla. I think it was Dark something.....but what was it?
When you take a Pink ring thinking it will take you somewhere but then it turns red and takes you underwater where you suffocate.

When you get a Green Lum, but it respawns you at the intro cutscene and you have to do the whole game again

When you collect a Green Lum
just after dying, and so you keep respawning into an eternal nightmare of non-ending deaths.

When you collect a Green Lum, and instead of marking your check point, it kills you, and you end up back at the main menu.

That would be a scarier version of what happens when you set your default HP to 0 in ReDesigner

When he gets so far ahead of you then when he breaks the entrance to the Headquarters, you fly over it and end up back on the lift, and loop forever.
