What games are you currently playing?

I've been playing both Pokemon X and Dream Team lately. Still trying to level up my Pokes and get through Dream Team's story.

Well I finally got Dark Souls working last night and after playing it a bit, I can say that it's very enjoyable. The learning curve is very steep indeed, but I've yet to hit a brick wall of difficulty. They've scaled it pretty well, giving you the bare basics for survival and combat and then letting you figure out the rest. It's a nice change from the average hold your hand experience. Dying in Dark Souls gives you that 'One more try' feeling rather than frustrating you into giving up. That's because the game provides you with the necessary tools to complete the area, it's up to your skills whether you pass it or not. It doesn't feel unfair is what I'm getting at. All in all it's been fantastic so far.

I've been playing that too recently it's awesome. What sort of character are you playing as? I enjoy playing as a standard soldier, using just an axe and shield without any magic. It makes the world feel that more overwhelming and brutal.

I chose to go with pyromancer, because I wanted a bit of magic but didn't want to be that generic mage. Pyromancer is freaking sweet though, I took out the first boss with like 5 fireball shots. I save them for big enemies though, in every other case I roll with shield and axe.

Sweet, that's definitely the class I would consider playing as on a secondary play-through then. I do often find it hard to play as a class that combines both magic and melee combat though. I've tried it a few times in Skyrim and always waste time to trying decide where to put my skill points due to there being a wide range of trees to choose from. Instead I usually just settle for a pure warrior, mage or thief, as I can govern my skills easily and ensure the character is efficiently balanced without worrying about one area outweighing the other.

I don't know, I manage myself pretty well with both melee and magic. I haven't delved too much into Skyrim, but I do enjoy jumping in an clearing the odd dungeon. Since I'm not too far in, I roll with a Bound Sword and a Firebolt and make pretty swift work of most enemies. I have a bow on backup just in case, but yeah in Dark Souls at least at the start you only get 6-8 fireball shots and you can only replenish by visiting bonfires, so I treat my fireballs like they're made of diamonds and only use them in situations where they're really necessary.

Been playing Halo Anniversary.

After seeing I had so few achievements in it, and in anticipation of the Master Chief Collection I realised it had a very do-able 100%

Im currently playing FarCry 3, Timeshift and Counter Strike : condition zero.

I started playing the DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games. It has this cool Adventure Mode that for some reason has never showed up in any other installment. When I played it years ago, it always froze at a particular point, but I'm playing a ROM that apparently fixes it, as it's patched.

I also downloaded Super Princess Peach and plan to start that in a minute.

On a side note, I was just watching the finals of the Super Smash Bros. Melee EVO tournament, and it was a grand show, with an emotional end.

Super princess peach is really fun underated game. I mean yes the whole sex toy joke at the end was unnessisary, but its a great game overall.

Been playing Kingdom Hearts 3D, and I swear riku plays better than sora, even if his enemies are harder.

Exactly my thoughts, and the Dinkle-bot only adds to it. I wish there was more story though, but I guess it's just the beta..

Yeah I expected a bit more from the Beta in terms of story. Thankfully, the competitive multiplayer is awesome; I can see myself playing this for quite a while.
