Is it sweetcorn? How about a cross between sweetcorn and a hotdog?

< knows it is a common food item over here. It is a hot dog with corn bread surrounding it. How thick? I'd say with the corn bread it makes the whole thing about the diameter of the hot dog times 2. They are usually eaten on sticks, the stick going about halfway up.
