@Hoodcom I frankly dislike how DS games look when you play them in a 3DS. That's why I keep playing DS titles either in DS or DS Lite.
For backward compatibility I only use PS2 for PS1 games and Wii for GC. I want to get a PS1 somewhere in future even though it is mostly as a collectible.

Have you tried holding Start as the game boots (so hold start, press A to boot the game from the home menu, and keep holding start until the game loads)? It makes the DS games run at native resolution with no scaling and looks a lot nicer.

I did not know about that trick. Might give it a try.

It sure looks nicer that way, but it takes up a very small part of the screen. It's too bad they didn't do like the Vita and just double the resolution of the previous console. That way you could have a nice fullscreen 2x scaling.

Huh, I didn't know you could do that with the 3DS. Interesting, I may need to try that someday.

Have you ever used a multi-disc PS1 game on a PS2?
I had to buy a PS1 to play MGS since my PS2 couldn't handle the disc switch properly...

Huh, really? I never had a problem with that before. Which PS2 model do you have?

Just an original, not sure what the model number is. Maybe it's just broken, I remember SotC wouldn't load certain parts of the map with it.

Well, it could be related to what game is compatible or not, I know where were some games that had issues with different PS2 models still. I just know the multi-disc ones I have were fine. Hmm, there was a list of compatibility somewhere.

Yes, the only one I currently have with that feature is Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. Never had issues!

Not interested in buying the RA myself, it is enough having done that with the original release !
EDIT:
6,99€ for Rayman Advance? That's hilarious knowing how you can get better for 1,99€ less (and if your country is selling the PSOne Classic Rayman in your PlayStation Store, for some reason it vanished from the Portuguese shop a few years back)!
Well, the price for Rayman 3's port is equal, but I think it is a good deal: that's the best portable Rayman game they did up to date.

Uhmm so this is something I've been wondering for a while, how much did Rayman 3 sell? From what I recall Ubisoft promoted Rayman 3 a lot, with free trips to Jamaica, tons of giveaways that even included a Lifesize statue, a whole forum to promote the game, tons of TV and magazine ads, quite a bit of press coverage and a website that day by day revealed the enemies and costumes (which by the way still needs to be found) so I'm guessing it wasn't a commercial success like Rayman 2 but still did well?

Oh man I remember the Jamaica prize. It was a pity I wasn't old enough to have ever received that, you had to confirm you were over 18 and everything. As for sales it's hard to say given that Platinum in PS2 didn't necessarily mean it sold 400,000 copies.

Something tells me that it sold fairly well.

I never understand those classics/platinum edition boxes, they always look ugly and just take value away from the game. A little icon seems like a better idea than an ugly huge border.
