Ooh, now I gotta look this up.
Also, I dare you to a completely blind run of the Vocational Block in Outlast: Whistleblower.

*bump*
Just watched a video of the game. It looks tense and all, but overall, not very well done or enjoyable, or something that I would really want to play. Then again, I haven't actually played it, so maybe I shouldn't pass judgement, but it looks a bit cheesy and meh, to be honest.

Hahaha, it's an interesting game, but it does put you in a bit of a constant panic state from the looks of it. Not sure if I wanna play it or avoid it at all costs.

It looks easy to me, actually. Move your mouse back and forth, and when you see a pair of eyes, shut the doors. Problem solved.

Sure, it would be that easy if it weren't for the fear factor and the management of power. As most people will fear getting to the point of seeing those eyes and having to quickly close the door, they'll panic and start checking the cameras all the time, thus wasting power. The game seems to get progressively harder from what I've seen, and later on you have very little time to react if they get close to the doors. I might give this one a go, despite not being much of a fan of horror games. It seems at least interesting.

I'm more speaking as one who has played a lot of survival horror games, and is used to them, but of course it's going to scare the shit out of someone that isn't used to the genre.

Hmm I never played much of the horror genre, not because of fear but just because a lot of them seem really cheap with their use of jumpscares. I know Outlast and Amnesia The Dark Descent are two good ones, but do you know of any others similar to those? I might play a few of them.

Outlast, Clock Tower, and Amnesia are all good, though Outlast is more of a jump-scarey shock horror game, though the reason it shines is because those jump-scares are so effectively done. The first two Silent Hill games are my personal favorites, though they're not for everyone, and certainly nothing like Outlast, Clock Tower, or Amnesia.

Thanks, I'll make sure to have a look at these when I've got some spare time.

Try the 6th night at Freddy's, Technology, shit gets real
I think the jump scares in FNAF are well done though, it slowly builds up a lot of tension. You are pretty much the horror fan of the community so I didn't expect you to blink, lol. Out of all the horror games I've seen though, I think Freddy's is by far worse. And the concept is really cool, jumpscares can be prevented if you don't suck at the game.

Rayfist got me to download it, I'll try it once I'm back from camping. I honestly hope I both do and don't get scared - I want to be because I never, ever get scared by horror media, and this will probably be no different, but I also don't want to be because I want to prove him wrong.

Jumpscares aside the entire atmosphere really is horrifying, an abandoned Chuck E Cheese knockoff.
If there is any place I'd be most scared to be in, it's an abandoned restaurant or any other place as a security guard at night. I guess it'd be a lot less scary if everything was bright but I think what FNAF nails in is just having a perfect atmosphere for a horror game.

Going between Legends for Vita, FFVII, Mario Dream Team, and SAO tommorow once the Playstation store updates.
Rayfist wrote:Actually I do remember a Spongebob game I had for PS2 which was surprisingly good. My girlfriend gave me the strangest looks when we were looking through my PS2 games and I told her that "Battle for Bikini bottom" was a really good game. Not only does is stay true to the original seasons back in the glory days of Spongebob, but the platforming is tight, and the level design is really stunning. It's weird saying all this for a Spongebob game, but believe me, it's great.
That's one of my favorite games on PS2! Really wish I still had that game!

Sold my white Vita to a friend a while back because there wasn't much going for it, plus it was in pretty crap condition. ...Now I want a new one, fuck XD
I think a PSP is higher on my priorities, I used to love mine and lost is as a kid. But I REALLY have trust issues with Ebay when it comes to handhelds... one little scratch and I'll freak out.

Hmm, one thing I'm definitely getting for my new laptop, it's quite fun on PS3, but I think having the versatility of the PC version will be very useful.
At present, I've been playing Minecraft, quite a lot of it.
