I guess Rayman 2 because he can launch those fireballs from his fists?

The Origins / Legends Rayman on the other hand doesn't seem to be able to do anything his friends can't do, so he's not particularly strong, at least within the game's context…

It's a toss-up between 1 and 2, but I'm going to go with 2, because that's the only game where super-helicopter is a power Rayman gets permanently (until Foutch beats it out of him, except in Revolution).

In Rayman 3 he can't do anything at all. All his powers come from the Hoodlums' combat fatigues and vehicles.

I wouldn't say he can't do anything at all, if we're going by base-power, I'd argue Rayman 3 has the most versatile moveset, he's much more agile, and unlike Rayman's 1 and 2, he can freely move while charging attacks (Rayman 2 can strafe, but he can't move freely). It might not sound like much, but it gives him far more manouevrability and flexibility when in combat encounters.

Yes, he doesn't have the Power Fist that he had in Rayman 2, but while that ability was better for reach and the rebound and charge gave it a good chunk of power and destructive potential, I think Rayman 3's agility (both dodge and roll) can cancel that out, can't do much if you can't land a hit.

R3 highly depends on external power-ups, and RO/RL has no difference between the different characters. R1 and R2 should be stronger since their powers come from fairies and were able to beat stronger enemies. Energy orbs should definitely make the difference here so I'll go with R2 :P

I must point out that RO also has fairies granting them powers much like R1.

Time to change the poll, right? Any ideas? :)

Completely derivative, but in the absence of a unique idea, same question, but with Globox?

I suppose his UbiArt incarnation would probably win, but I'd be interested to see if there's any counterarguments to be made.

Mainstream wise, isn’t Globox only fully playable in the Ubiart games anyways?

I didn’t answer this poll, thinking either 2 or 3.

We should have a pool thats like "whos the best canon Rayman love intrest?" and the optiptions should be Ly, that lady from Origins and me.

Im joking but Master does have a decent idea!

True, but playability isn't necessarily an indicator of ability. He can't use his rain dance is the UbiArt games, not does he have his plum-induced resilience.

What is this Simohne erasure? :tssk:
I would totally vote for you, though :mryellow:
Also, i’m very late to this, but i vote for R2 Rayman. Like Plum said, he can shoot projectiles and it’s pretty nifty, i think..

Edge’s idea is an interesting one, but in my opinion it feels a bit limited due to the options.
(Also Ly is the only right answer to this, so the poll wouldn’t be that interesting anyway :proud:)

Master’s idea is also good, but like Jonster said, he’s only playable in Origins/Legends, so that doesn’t feel all that great in my opinion either.

What about the best world from a particular mainline game, like Rayman 3 or Legends?

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to answer; I’d say Rayman in Rayman 3, thanks to both the combat fatigues and the fact that he defeated a Knaaren warrior empowered by a god! (With some help from Globox in the latter case)

Oh yeah that's true, good point there, so that would leave everything except R1 then.

That is also true, but keep in mind that he never performs any specific feats of strength or power in Rayman 2 or 3. The rain dance was only used to get rid of obstacles to my knowledge, and as far as I know, in Rayman 3 the effects from drinking the plum juice weren’t strength or power-based. Now Hoodlums’ Revenge is a different story - he does gain more strength, resilience, and courage in that game thanks to the plum juice - but despite the fact that it’s canon in my mind, it isn’t really a mainline Rayman game, so we couldn’t count that.

How about for the next poll: Which Rayman game’s early production fascinates you the most?

That could be interesting; Origins is easily my answer, there's so much scrapped content that should have gotten into the final version!

Edit: CARAMBA! I'm a Henchman 1000 now!
