You mean Yoshi? I think we need fewer Mario gameplay ripoffs. It could work and could be fun, but that's not a very creative stunt for Ubisoft to pull. Perhaps the same mechanic could be applied to something a little more out there.
Yoshi's a dinosaur.
Hehe, I was being a bit uncreative there, I was just trying to start the conversation.

Yoshi's a dinosaur.
And Globox is a toad.
He is a glute, toads appear in le Bog of Murk.
And I shall say no-more. Misster(See what I did there?) RayFan9876 & Monsieur Rulez, ta ta, au revoir, too-da-loo!
Shells should re-appear,and maybe it's a good idea because this game is more R2-ish.They chould have some Yoshi-like use. When you ride them you can run faster but if you touch an enemy, the shell explodes and you die.Ain't it awesome? And I really really loved shells in R2
I've never played spyro or any of his other games,so what? I have no childhood? .-.
Anyway, I think when they said "Exclusive Wii U content" they were talking about the way how the player can move platforms with the touch screen, something that I find pretty meh
The toy thing is obviously available for PS3 and Xbox 360 too. If the developers of Skylanders designed a "toy scanner" for every console, I wouldn't be surprised if ubisoft did the same thing with Rayman Legends.
Oh no, you don't actually need a wii u controller to scan toys how do you think skylanders works? they made their own scanner
And you can connect it to the consoles. So, while the wii U works with it's own controller, the other consoles may work with a special scanner created by ubisoft that POSSIBLY would be included with the game... the only problem here would be the price

I don’t really see the purpose of inventing characters that will never, ever be used in the game. The reason we like to discuss whether old characters will appear in Legends is that it could actually, you know, happen.

I agree with spiral here. Why would we talk about more new characters making it into the game if no new characters otehr that the viking chick were revealed? (lol that of viking chick sounds kinda pervert to me).Now I'm going blind cos I want all my childhood characters from Rayman 2 to appear and that's all I know

Freaking thank you. Nothing against beebo, but I can't stand it when threads end up in this direction.
You can say a lot how much you want Rayman to ride a fire-spitting unicorn with lazer powers and rainbow diarrhea, but Ubisoft is never gonna hear you... sadly.

Now I hope they don't include something like that for every console. Can you imagine how much a Collector's Edition of the game would cost, even without it the CE for RO was pretty pricey. (At least in Australia it was.) I'm fine with that being just a special feature for the Wii U, like they had with the Vita Version of RO.
I admit that a game like RO, the price for the normal edition was almost as expensive than the CE itself (except for Wii). But curiously, I never spotted the CE. If I didn't win the gift basket, I would have probably had to buy the CE imported from United Kingdom.
Now I also think the normal editions were too expensive for the game it turned out in the end. The CE price was fine for the content it had, but now... regular editions at 60€? 30€ would be much better.
