Re: Rayman Origins

I know this is going to be off-topic from what we're discussing right now, but anyway, I'd like to share my thoughts on Origins:
Rayman Origins looks fucking awesome so far. I'm glad to see Rayman return to platforming (I mean, I have nothing against the Rabbids, but they should have never gotten involved with Rayman if you ask me), and it looks like a very fun game. I love the whole concept of the game showing his origins, how he came to be, and how he evolves from a perverted idiot to the hero he is now. (speaking of which, I'm fucking SICK of people complaining about Rayman looking up Betilla's dress in the first trailer. So fucking what if he looked up her dress? Besides, keep in mind that this is Rayman ORIGINS. It takes place when he was first born, and shows that he begins acting idiotic and perverted, but then grows up and matures. Plus, I think it's a pretty funny idea how he begins acting this way.) The game will be a blast with 4 players, and it'll be fun playing the game with my friends. I also really like the wacky and crazy artstyle, and the sprites are very beautifully animated.
However, it seems a lot of people have been passing it off as a reboot all because of the presence of Globox, Betilla having limbs, and Rayman having his 2003-now design. Honestly, you can tell Rayman has known Globox long before the events of Rayman 2, plus, notice that he's happy to see Globox again at the beginning of R2, implying that they've known each other for a while. And as for Betilla having limbs and Rayman having his 2003-now design, I highly doubt Ubisoft considers redesigns as canon. I mean, it's not like the Sonic series how redesigns are considered canon (according to Sonic Generations).
Anyway, I think it looks like a great game, and I'll definitely be picking it up for PS3 and PSVita (once the Vita is released). I cannot wait for November.
