I had no idea what you were talking about, so I had to play it, and my god. Probably the worst game I had ever played. If I didn't know better I would have thought it was a fan game. With cinematic 5fps action, randomly disappearing platforms, comic sans and even the ability to levitate, I suggest that everyone should play it!
Believe it or not, it is an official thing that used to be available for playing back in the official Ubisoft Kids french site. I remember how poopy it was.

Someone has to make a gameplay of this with raging commentary.
I'd rather play with the U-play software than this.

I demonstrated Rayman web based gameplay shortly in Rayman Optimum unboxing. It has the crawling glitch where you crawl upwards and can pretty much use it as levitation glitch

The web based PS1 rom really ups the rewarding feeling, I've almost made it past the Ubisoft logo!

Also by looking at the poll, it seems the PS1 is the most favored of them all.

How the fuck does the PC version have more votes than Saturn? Other than the beautiful new Band Land intro I don't see how it surpasses.

It's a fact, no one owned a Saturn.

I have two of them now, the disc tray on one of them is broken.
If you're going to buy a Saturn do not for the life of you buy NTSC games, Japanese games are a cheaper alternative for Saturn.
No matter what you think the Saturn was a 2D beast. It was excellent for playing Street Fighter or Marvel vs Capcom, I'd say it had a great library of arcade like games.

But what games are there for the Saturn? I have no real knowledge of its game library.

Check out this underrated gem:

As for noteable Saturn games: NiGHTS into Dreams, Sonic Jam, and Virtua Fighter 2 are excellent exclusives

I already tried to explain why I voted for PC:
PluMGMK wrote:Anyway, finally cast my vote in this poll. Despite the graphical and musical inferiorities, I have to go PC. Why? It's just more fun! The cage placements make me feel much more satisfied when I find them than in the other versions (even if I do basically know where they are already due to years of playing, but at this point I'd kind of forgotten anyway).

Rayfist I can't stop laughing that you just used the term "underrated gem" completely unironically.

I need to try out this game once. I think I own ISO somewhere.
Its name always made me laugh since it can mean "table" on one language.

Yeah thanks Saber...
I feel like I gave off the impression I was sarcastic when I wasn't.

Fair enough. My gripe with the PC version was a lot of things, the dreadful screen tearing (this only happens on newer OS's since I'm using Windows 8'), the lack of music in some areas. I even don't like the ting sound effects nearly as much. I fear some people are a little blinded with nostalgia, I grew up with the PC version first but I eventually did accept the fact PS1 is pretty much better in every way. I'm not saying you are, I'm just saying I know some who are.

Well, I'm definitely not, I didn't beat any version of Rayman 1 until I was about 11 (very recent compared to games about which I actually would be nostalgic, at least that's what I think).

Personally, though, I even kind of disagree with that, as, after a year of playing the PS1 version almost exclusively and impulsively launching into a semi-blind speedrun attempt, it struck me immediately how obscurely and unfairly the PC version's cages were hidden, actually causing me to miss one in The Hard Rocks even though I basically had them all memorized. Going through that level again and trying to remember what I missed felt a lot more tedious than satisfying for me, and that just caused me to remember all the cages I would have had no idea how to find had I not memorized them beforehand.
Then again, I'm fairly averse to collecting stuff in general, so that could have been an added contribution.

I'd put it above simply for not having Atari 2600 samples. :V
