I'd prefer seeing a new 3D Rayman game with all new elements. Plus, i'd like to see what else Ancel could do with a game.
With a Rayman Origins 2, the developers could take everything they had learned from the first game and build upon it. They could add any content that they didn’t have the time or money to include in the first game. It would almost certainly be bigger and better in every way. Think Abe’s Exoddus.

Splitting Rayman’s universe in two would be really unnecessary and confusing, especially now that they’ve put so much effort into blending the games together. The divide between the valley and the Glade was never a real one – just something that happened when they made some redesigns between 2D and 3D. Splitting the world would mean that the developers would be extremely limited in what they could and couldn’t do – for example, it would mean that they could never include Rayman 1 characters or enemies in a Rayman 2-style game. I’m glad they’ve thrown away the false distinction in favour of creative freedom.
