I know a lot of members of the previously mentioned group have really seemingly impressive scores on the leaderboard, so is there a chance that these are completely fake and edited with a cheat engine?

Maybe? Like I said it's a flawed system so I wouldn't be surprised if the same people who attacked the site so many times also tried to ruin the Hall of Fame by cheating. We monitored the very best scores and asked for proof when it looked suspicious but there's little more we can do.

And we’re not gonna bring these people back just so they can validate their scores!

Speaking of which, where did DTUCC’s score go? It just disappeared from the leaderboard someday.

I don't see why one of us would have removed it, so he must have.

Wow, I just read this. A while ago I even was confused and had to ask Hunch about it, but others most likely just wasn't aware of the extent. I'm happy to see that this has been resolved. I hope they use their hacking talents for good, something useful. I'm just happy I was able to enjoy my time here with y'all.

Yes, the fact that a lot of current and former regulars knew but that nothing had ever been officially communicated on the subject is what decided me to explain everything once and for all. It's better for newcomers to read this than misguided statements by people who know nothing about the whole thing!

Anyway, glad you still managed to enjoy your time here. There were rough patches, but many of us still have fond memories of our time together.

I agree, I think it was a good move. Plus, I'm also looking back at the dumb memories we've made as well, laughing at them.

I like how the quality of the messages has improved over the years, but somehow, I think my most vivid memories will always be of episodes of shitposting and dumb trolling.

Agreed. I do need to look for the quote chain thread, that was very funny. On the topic of a shitpost forum, I'm 50/50 on it. Obviously it would give 0 tings per post. At the same time, probably too much to moderate anyway. I think just having that era as something to look back is all we need, to have a good laugh at our youth.

Yeah, posts in such a section shouldn't count towards anything, but even then, I wouldn't want to have to moderate it (shitposting doesn't mean anything is allowed). In the end, it's the fine balance between shitposting and more normal conversations that made the former so funny.

Random question, was there a phpBB update done within the last month? I've noticed that the button to go to a quote post has become an arrow in a circle, rather than the simple arrow pointing up character.
