Seems like everyone tbh. The faster people realise that nobody gives a fuck that they share a common opinion, the faster people will start to enjoy summer.

Do you live in the South of France if you get heat waves then? We don’t get many heatwaves around here but the one in 2022 was hell, yikes. Maybe it’s just me fed up with hearing “unopopular opinion but summer is the worse season!” Wherever I look.

Speak for yourself, every time it hits summer here I become a (moreso) moody git cause I can't think or function clearly cause of the stuffy heat. 2022 was particularly bad but in general it's not fun round here because the heat is twinned with high humidity, and it ain't fun drowning in your own sweat having not done anything.

Not that other seasons don't have their own drawbacks, but a season that should be amenable to touching grass, it makes it difficult sometimes.

Summer isn't the worst season anyways. Spring is!

Nailed it, and I'm specifically stuck in the parts that tends to get the highest numbers on the weather forecasts
I assume the UK must be much nicer than down here in the summers, but yup, I remember that specific year too for that one heat wave as it's the one that prompted me to make this silly video... despite the fact I was pretty near Paris back then! (But to be fair, we were in the top floor of an old appartment and so the heat would roast your flesh pretty nicely right under the roofs! )
It can the prettiest season in the right place, but in the wrong one, you can't help but hate it with all of your soul... especially when your own body has a very similar experience regarding plants' mating season!

But I get ya, people do meme this season to hell (pun intended, if you remember the summer lovers "So glad there's no snow" meme ).
Things get old quick when you see them repeated constantly... and especially every single day when all your family members and coworkers suddenly realize out of the blue: "Il fait chaud !" [ = "Crikey, it do be pretty hot in this fine day, innit chaps?"]

Gosh, just mix high humidity with extreme dryness that give you constant nosebleeds, and you have my typical experience of summer there!
It destroys your mood, your energy, your focus, your productivity... and in a matter of hours, it turns you into a slimy abomination that smells as pleasant as a corpse, groaning and begging to consume brains a drink!

Ever since I met the local friendly bugs and trees, I have evolved into a hardcore autumn apologist especially when it comes to touching grass (tiger mosquitoes and asian hornets, my favourite typically French fauna!)
(And winter just sucks here as it's oddly extreme despite the area, and the monthly electricity bills for the heating systems can eat your bank account faster than 12 consecutive Steam sales! )
