Re: What games are you currently playing?
I was playing Rayman Legends recently, but I dislike... everything but the levels, really. I don't get the paintings and all.
There seems to be no story, no sense, unlike Rayman Origins where you're playing on a world map, trying to progress to the next level to undo wrongdoings.
Rayman Legends seems to scrap that and just have no story (none I can pick up in-game at least).
I thoht saving Barbara might have a little story to it, but it's literally just a level you complete that has nothing to do with her, and you just randomly unlock her (whoever she is, it again doesn't seem to introduce her at all, what the hell is a human doing in Rayman's world?) after you complete the level...
The actual game's fun though, and the art is beautiful.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Personally I enjoyed Legends far more than Origins, it feels more... complete to me personally.
I will say the progress in Origins is better, as the world map really shows a sense of completion, whileas Rayman Legends is more of a Crash Bandicoot-like transition thing, no really explanation why you're all of a sudden in an underwater world, no transition, just play through it, that's really all I can say I like better in the Origins aspect.
I also stand by the notion of Rayman maybe having more of a story. I don't think Rayman games need downright serious stories but I would love to see them go back to the Rayman 2 styled stories while still having some comedic relief here and there. I was hoping to see more backstory for Barbara as well, she is an interesting character but we got little to no explanation as to why she was here. Even in the Origins port for the VITA, we still got the 'Origins' for the characters as a bonus feature.
I'm also not a major fan of the reskins Origins and Legends offered, I would've prefered... you know, actual different characters, not just recolor #4 of the Teensie.
Anyways I've been playing Sonic Classics Collection on the DS, a port of Sonic 1,2,3, Sonic 2 and Knuckles, and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I'm having good fun with them but it's a bit of a shameful port, you'll see instances of flickering within the backgrounds and a few framerate drops in some levels (this is actually fixed a bit if you're playing on a 3DS for some reason.) This collection also kind of reminded me why I don't like Sonic 1 a whole lot anymore, I still think it's a great game, but if I were to ever recommend anyone to play any of the classic Sonic games, I'd probably include the first one out, half of the levels in Sonic 1 just weren't fun. Marble Zone was slow paced and really went against what Sonic originally was about, and Labyrinth Zone takes this to a whole new level with even slower boring mechanics. Scrap Brain Zone for a good portion also just wasn't fun because you had so many unfair traps that were thrown at you unexpectedly.
Sonic 2 fixes every single problem of Sonic 1 by introducing the spindash which all the momentum you often lose you can gain back in less than a second, so it defeats the whole critique for Sonic lately saying that "Your pace is constantly broken." So Sonic 2 does remain one of my favorite 2D Sonics for this reason.

Destiny.
Oh yeah. Destiny.
I'm glad I didn't bought the game, just got the demo.
Repetitive fucking levels. People say it's meant for grinding. What the fucking shit, Bungie?
The campaign is a piece of shit, it's like the just threw away the experience they had with the Halo campaigns, what the fuck Bungie, what the fuck.
And I want to buy the game.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm not sure what was with the hype surrounding that game. Bungie and 343 Studios just isn't having good luck lately, with the disaster of the online on the Master Chief Collection and the letdown that was Destiny it worries me for Halo 5.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I know, right? I expected the game to be good, but it's fucking repetitive like Bungie ran out of ideas JUST in the first level of the game.
And I even wan't to buy the game, maybe the stupid level up system haunting me again. I just, wan't to buy the game. Maybe a special edition?!
I'm the automatic boon machine.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Hey Amb, remember you have to host TTQ, 'kay?
If not then you will get SHREKT.

I'm getting into Smash Run on the 3DS. It's only fun when you play as Miis.
And Smash U is just so much fun to play! I love this game!

Skyrim, and Spore, blimey.
Speaking of which, does anyone have the Maxis made adventures? I've been trying to download them, but it seems they don't auto-download anymore.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Playing The Legend Of The King Of Poros, special League Of Legends Christmas game mode.
Basically you throw little furballs called Poros at your enemies, and after succeeding in touching them 10 times, the king of Poros lands on the map in a big splash. It's quite funny (and I'm good at throwing furballs it seems), I'm already 4-1 in this game mode :3

You can get them through the online Sporepedia if I'm not mistaken. I used to have a topic about this open on the EAUK Spore forums, but alas...Master wrote:Speaking of which, does anyone have the Maxis made adventures? While we're on the subject, the technical staff at EA has been busy-busy getting me a Mac-compatible version of Galactic Adventures ready so I can play with you guys again.

I've scoured the online Sporepedia, but was only able to find a few, and those came from external linking, not from results on the Sporepedia itself.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Tried that, didn't work. I managed to get to the Sporepedia pages of some adventures by following direct links from other sites, and downloaded them manually. Other than that, nada.
Would it be possible for you or anyone else who owns the adventures to share a link or means of obtaining them?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yes it would, as soon as I gain access to the game. I have to wait on EA for that one though.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Playing Saints Row IV co-op now. Definitely an improvement over SR3 and an overall fun game, especially in co-op, but still suffers from being quite repetitive and most of the minigames being mediocre. It's nice you don't need vehicles in this game because co-op driving in SR3 lagged like shit, and from what I've seen they haven't fixed that in the sequel. Sucks when you have to play a mission where you lose all your powers though, those are fun.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Halo 5 Beta, 2 matches so far, and it's a lot of fun. More fast paced than usual, which is interesting, but I'm ok with change unlike some vocal fans.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've seen it haves a little "CoD touch", I've seen the trailer and you can ADS, which is weird for me, I played and beated Reach and I'm sure you can't ADS.

I'm really excited for this - I totally don't mind the idea of something faster-paced, so long as it retains its Halo-esque identity.MrBadGuy wrote:Halo 5 Beta, 2 matches so far, and it's a lot of fun. More fast paced than usual, which is interesting, but I'm ok with change unlike some vocal fans.

Really? I liked SR3 better personally, SRIV was still cool though!Matyuv wrote:Playing Saints Row IV co-op now. I've been playing Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on STEAM and while it is short I love every minute of it!
