Anyone having issues with PPSSPP Emulator? It's a brand new PSP Emulator that I tried because I heared it's good. But 64bit exe freezes game after intro and 32bit after first stage. Game is Parappa The Rapper.

I don't know, Parappa The Rapper seems like a tricky game to emulate on any platform, considering the weird 2-voices-at-once glitch that sometimes happens everywhere in the PS1 version, and now aparrently the PSP version is bugged out.
Not to mention Windows 8 not being able to even select anything on the title of the PS1 version.

I have issue with ePSXe and PSXfin, after intro, screen goes white, and sound of intro plays again. When all the long waiting is done, game finally starts but after Chop Master Onion, it freezes.

Strange, I played it with no problem on ePSX3, except that sometimes when I lost, the voices would play twice at the same time. Is your computer Windows 7 or 8? And is it 32bit or 64bit?

What game region have you downloaded? I tried NTSC-J version of Parappa and thats what happened.

Then it's probably my graphics card or something. Just how Rayman 1 crashed on Sega Saturn, only for me.

Well for TurboBoost users this will be an improvement because by disabling some cores will let you run in a higher frequency. However acording to my tests with PCSX2 that software doesn't give a shit to turboboost and stucks at the stock frequency. I'd suggest to let the program run in all available cores by selecting only the first core in taskmanager and then afterwards select all other cores. It works well with Flight Simulator but I haven't tested it out on PSCX2. Although I doubt that the Plugin cooperates mainly with the CPU.

It is, thanks for the reply. But I don’t have it, so I can’t capture the gameplay footage from it. We have a real PS2 (slim), and the game doesn’t lag in there. But the loading times are long if I use a real PS2!

I can actually fix the lag by using PCSX2’s built-in recorder. But playing on a real PS2 is better.

Yes, but the lag in-game is pretty unbearable, for me at least. It's better to just splurge on a capture card, rather than having to deal with--horrible--nightmarish--ghastly--evil--EVIL--EVIL SLOWDOWNS!!!!!

Also, on the 60GB, you get the performance of playing on a real PS2, since the PS3 has the actual hardware inside of it, with some of the added bonuses of emulators, such as higher resolutions (though, admittedly, this is done with upscaling/filters, but the picture still looks quite good in my opinion), infinite memory cards (as well as the ability to use the virtual cards on PC emulators), and greater controller flexibility.

You forgot all the evil glitches that appear in many games. Too bad I don't own a HD PVR to capture the footage via component. Why are PVR's so evily uberpriced?! I really wonder if the quality is the same at 1080p.

Yeah, the game lags a lot in PCSX2.
But it has long loading times on a real PS2.
And I don’t have a capture card.

I need to upload a video of some of the lovely background glitches in Ratchet & Clank 2. I haven't played that game in a while, but I seem to recall very white (and shite) backgrounds that didn't appear on the real PS2. Also, in Sly 1, the green outlines for Bentley that appeared in the "hacking" level are absent, making that part much more difficult.

I got the HD PVR for Christmas, so luckily I didn't have to spend any of my own money. :) Another thing you can do is use a cheap recorder to record the PS2 footage, and then upscale the video with Sony Vegas or AVISynth.

That reminds me of Rayman 1 for MS-DOS' loading screens, which weren't really used to load content in the game, but were just there for the express purpose of annoying you, since you could just skip them. Rayman 1 for PC is truly one of the worst ports in existence (the original game, I mean, not Designer).

Well I don't have any issues with the Saturn version of Rayman, since I own a real Saturn. Maybe you should try SSF via BootCamp?
