Hehe, good to see I am not the only one suffering from that paytv shit. But still very weird, in every other country I visited I could watch Boomerang.

What pisses me off is that here, they are promoting shitty Disney live action shit the most and that is free channel. I even saw billboard for two shows FFS!
Why can't I see promotion of good game or show? It's just Skylanders and live action crap!
You know what's not a shitty Disney show? Gravity Falls!
Season 2 is going to premiere on August 1st! And the creator of the show held a panel at Los Angeles to give a sneak peak (I attended). Here's the whole panel.
Okay, so today I was browsing Youtube not looking for anything in particular, and I noticed a video for the Lilo & Stitch TV show. It played the theme song and listening to it gave me the biggest smile on my face. That got me searching for old shows I used to watch, and for every theme song I heard I was hit with a fresh batch of nostalgia. It got me thinking, Disney really isn't as good as they used to be. I'm sure some of you grew up on the even older Disney cartoons from the 90's, but I was raised on the late 90's-00's cartoons. Stuff like House of Mouse, Lilo & Stitch, Emperor's New Groove, I could go on but I won't. Anyway, it can't just be the nostalgia hitting me when I say that Disney isn't as good anymore. I mean I haven't seen Gravity Falls yet but I've heard it's good, and they're still airing Phineas and Ferb but that's about all I can think of. Everything else is live action shows or mindless cartoons with bland humour and boring characters. I won't blabber on anymore, but there used to be a lot of good Disney shows and now it's like searching for a needle in a haystack. :/
Just watched the two new episodes of Korra. There were some pretty sweet action scenes in there, and the Dai Li were awesome as always. I can't wait for the sure to happen episode where all 4 villains are duking it out against Korra, Bolin etc. It's gonna be sweet!

Oh yea I forgot to mention him! Varrick is definitely in my top 5 Korra characters, and when he showed up in episode 5 it gave me such a big smile. Can't wait for more episodes about Lin as well, it's been very interesting to learn more about her family so far.
Hmm, does the Avatar series count as anime? I know it takes its cues and inspiration from its style, but does that properly fit the definition?
Either ways, I've been enjoying LOK, though I can't help but feel it's being too nimble, the Bei Fong feud only really featured in two eps, and is now seemingly resolved.
Some days ago, I started watching the anime version of a manga I liked a lot some years before, Zatch Bell.
For those who don't know the plot, a young kid called Zatch, one day, arrives at the house of a teenager called Kiyomaro Takmamine. Zatch was found unconscious in a forest by Kiyo's father, holding a red book with him. Kiyo's father asked Zatch if he could help Kiyo to make some friends, as the teenager, very smart, has also a bad behaviour towards his comrades at school.
Later on, we learn that Zatch is in fact a demon sent on Earth like 99 of his people. These young demons are here to fight for the throne of their realm, a fight which happens every 1000 years. To fight, they must associate with humans, who, by reading formulas in the book the demon brought with him, will enable their partner to use very impressive powers to burn the book of their opponent. But as Zatch actually lost his memories, the beginning is very tricky for our two friends.
Here is the english opening of the series. They didn't finish it entirely, but it contains everything that is really important in it, the very end of the story going only through 5-ish books over 33.

Ah, finally, it restarts!!! Season 3 here I come!

Avatar counts as a cartoon. People usually get deceived by the design of the series, which is incerdibly close to anime style, but the amount of details put into The Avatar series is way higher than many animes, plus it is a cartoon first and not a manga, like many animes are.
This is only a small part of the differences between The Avatar series' style and the one of animes. I'm sure you can actually find many others, mainly related to the way the series are animated and the way the drawings are made.

Haha no. I'm poking fun. But seriously Gravity Falls Season Two is just right around the corner.

I prefer this opening way better
I actually didn't know this one, as I got used to watching the english/french trailer for Zatch Bell. If you look at it, it is a shorter version of this one, in fact (same scenes, shortened). I guess it was because French/English people got lazy to make an entire song for it, so they only did it for 30 secs'.
It means you watched the 150 episodes, didn't you OCG? I would say that this particular adaptation is not that great, I prefer the manga, way better.

I actually started the whole thing...sorry . We should talk about something else right now.
