Jesus, what was that... Although, I'd rather get to live with a better family any day, even my little brother got something against me.
The problem is that most abusive parents either don't technically do anything illegal, or they do, but only enough so that you still feel entirely dependant on them and you wouldn't feel that it's worth your while to report them, which would especially be the case if you also have relatives you're close to.emshomar wrote:Zepto your case reminds me something on TV. Yeah your right! But I remember ZeptoRay saying that she got slapped sometime. In Germany, violence to children like slapping is illegal enough! But in the court you somehow have to prove it.Adsolution wrote:The problem is that most abusive parents either don't technically do anything illegal, or they do, but only enough so that you still feel entirely dependant on them and you wouldn't feel that it's worth your while to report them, which would especially be the case if you also have relatives you're close to.emshomar wrote:Zepto your case reminds me something on TV. Aye, I got slapped, beaten up with punches and kicks, strangled and I do recall my dad threatening me to use his belt as a whip. When I was 10 I decided that I had enough and replied by violence acta but then they would just pine me down on the floor and slap me. This turned into yelling swears back and what I think about what they are doing, but because I have such a poor control over my emotions it just screws up and I get verbally attacked for saying "weird illogical things". Recently I'm just shutting them up and locking myself in my room bleh.emshomar wrote:Yeah your right! But I remember ZeptoRay saying that she got slapped sometime. Oh god, I made the same mistake, I was told that if I didn't something really bad was going to happen to me and I got scared.Adsolution wrote:I was nearly taken away from my family in third grade when my teacher found a massive bruise on my cheek and neck, but stupid me decided to use the lie my mother told me to use.
Well my mom was raped by her own father, while my dad's parents died, his little sister got hit by a drunk person on her birthday, and his older brother killed himself. But his parents were super nice with him. My grandma is one of the nicest person I have ever seen even though I can't stand her but she never did anything bad to my mom. I don't think those are reasons to beat me up because I'm not what they expect me to be. You can just even see what name they named me and the reason why disgust me. I was told by my dad 3 months ago I was named "Marilyn" because of Marilyn Monroe and that they expected me to be like her, I think that's fucked up.OldClassicGamer wrote:- Parnets who do physical punishment probably do it because they have complex from their childhood.
That is very ignorant thing. Just because we are on internet we are shit? That makes no sense. We are people too and we just use internet because we all live on different locations and internet helps us connect with other people and discuss about things we like. Friends are friends no matter where they liveZeptoRay wrote:My parents of course, blame it on internet people saying everyone is a piece of shit that I should get off and get "real" friends.
Yes it is.emshomar wrote:Oh my dear ZeptoRay*is huging allowed?* .
When I look at what I just said my friend's parents think the same way. Either people have a bad influence or are 40 years old pedophiles to them apparently. Pretty stupid.OldClassicGamer wrote: That is very ignorant thing. Just because we are on internet we are shit? That makes no sense. That sounds like a total blast of fun, hm? Who knew biological punching bags that grow only larger over time and that automatically heal existed? The children! They're right there! Your dad sounds like he's found his way into quite a series of unfortunate events, and your mother, well, I'm not entirely sure how I'd word it - in seventh grade, that happened to one of our classmates, one who I actually had a crush on.ZeptoRay wrote:Well my mom was raped by her own father, while my dad's parents died, his little sister got hit by a drunk person on her birthday, and his older brother killed himself. Interesting, most parents aren't usually in favour of their precious children turning into die-young sex symbols. Unless they were referring to the general archetype of commercial success when they picked your name, it seems you've surpassed their expectations by managing to not be wasted dumpster teenager #54092.ZeptoRay wrote:I don't think those are reasons to beat me up because I'm not what they expect me to be. Jesus Christ...Adsolution wrote: My father tended to treat me the same way before he left when I was ten, the most (ironically) memorable part of it being a particular stairs incident which has bestowed unto me a permanently stitched scar situated on my forehead, as well as the gift of minor short-term memory loss (inability to recall some immediate information, often forcing me to re-read or be re-told something multiple times consecutively). Suffice to say, it's really fucking annoying, and while I don't throw the word 'hate' around very often, there are certain people I have no problem affiliating it with.
I'm trying to not cry since I'm in the livingroom but its pretty useless since I already am. Ad that's a horrible story, I don't even know what to say. I can't imagine how it feels to live that, even less with your friend, I feel so bad for you right now.Adsolution wrote: My mother's parents also beat her, and she actually was sexually abused by her brother (my uncle) when they were younger, yet oddly enough, he and his wife (my aunt) happened to be the people whom I'd loved the most, whom I'd always thought of as my 'real' family. He's no longer the person he used to be, he was now a doctor, and with my tendency to ask obscure, complicated science-related and questions, he would always manage to explain them to me and often show how it all worked - he was like a dream parent for me - intelligent, motivational, and sharing a love for making the world a better place - and he completely understood what it meant to have personal space, being an extreme introvert himself. My aunt, she was a hilarious person who loved the arts, and she took me to and from school on Thursdays and Fridays.
He hung himself in 2009 after getting drunk one night (he'd been sober for twenty years), and my aunt then died of stomach cancer in early 2012, because she stopped eating almost entirely due to the loss of her husband. Quite literally, everyone I know in person who has made a significantly positive impact on my life has died, and this accounts for one of my friends as well, who was raped and then killed herself in front of me. I've brought that particular story up more than once on this forum before, and I feel like a snob for doing it again, but it rarely leaves me at peace.
I actually don't know the reason, they refuse to tell me. Meh not caring much since I'd rather not know the reason of that.Adsolution wrote:Interesting, most parents aren't usually in favour of their precious children turning into die-young sex symbols. Ahh.. <w>Adsolution wrote: By the way, Marilyn is actually one of my favourite names. It's actually the name I'd given to a character in a story of mine.
Probably the only thing I have to say its to not try to avoid problems like that, its just going to make you feel worst in the end. Well at least, its what happens when I do that. Its better to talk about it with a friend.Adsolution wrote: - I thought I'd moved past this. Aye, I agree it's a nice name. Marilyn, Elizabeth, Cheryl. All good.Adsolution wrote:By the way, Marilyn is actually one of my favourite names. It's actually the name I'd given to a character in a story of mine.ZeptoRay wrote:Ahh.. <w>

Haha makes you more grateful doesn't it. I've been putting up with the things I'd usually get overly irritated by lately.emshomar wrote:When reading your problems, I suddenly realise how much luck I do have with my life. The only issue that involved me is that my father betrayed my mom and married another one and left her alone. But at least he didn't leave us since is still tryes to contact and help us (me, my bro and my sis).
Your quote broke and turned me into Adsolution.Keane wrote:PC needs a real life meet up. \o/ Only I couldn't show up myself.
