I don't think I'm going to miss it that much since I have the HD textures from the modding section in Dolphin
I seriously need to start thinking how to make the combos I created so far better though...
Or because it's awful anyway

The music looping is very bad, the teensie highway music sounds like crap as it just keeps leaving gaps in it, Celoche moves way too fast and it just generally isn't that great compared to the original imo. It's too glitchy (even though the original one is full of SJ's) :P

Oh ok then in that case I don't have to worry about it.
OOh, so I decided to just copy my save file on the other memory card so I can delete the save file on the memory card I'm using. YAY! Time to start anew :)
(I can always go back to that save later.)

Speaking of which I actually have 2 GameCube memory cards also. Then again I have like 5 or 6 PS2 memory cards. Lets fill them all up with completed Rayman 3 save files

So I've been wondering this for a while and the physics are definitely different on other PC's. On a PC with an i3-2120 using Intel HD Graphics I could just about make this jump. I can't make it on my main PC though.

I wonder what else you've found? This is a good video, at lesat I know I can try and at least have maybe some chance of making that jump! I'm back to playing Rayman 3 now, so time for me to make some experimenting in the FC! :D

The CF door is definitely possible on Xbox at 50Hz just as I suspected :)
EDIT: Also it turns out it's lower framerates that make you be able to jump higher so that means PAL Rayman 3 @ 50Hz has a higher jump. The reason the i3 PC can jump that bit higher is because it's struggling and not getting 60fps.

Edit: Interesting video, I really do have start experimenting now, I've done nothing yet despite begin home for an hour.

I'm still uncertain which version would be best for me to use for getting a good score. I'll just play through all of them and see which one fits me best. :)

Yup, time to start the 1st out of 10 saves on the GameCube.

If you've gotten this far, I'm sure you can do it with the LockJaw at this point :)
Good luck with it!

Yeah it's all in the timing. I wonder though if it's OK to play the PC version at 50Hz since my monitor can do 100Hz. People might say you aren't allowed use a score from it if you do but then again nobody could stop a console user playing at 50Hz especially PAL GameCube because that version can't even do 60Hz.

Basically it'd just make PC jump as high as Xbox or at least almost.

Oooh maybe I should try the different regions of the versions in that case and test those too. 8)

That could take a long time though, and I'd be repeating the same game over and over.
I could handle it though.

I'm actually interested now as to whether the LOTLD balloon jump is makeable on the 60Hz NTSC GameCube version. I have the PAL version on GameCube. Though I could buy the NTSC version if I wanted or just use an iso. I could even play it on the Wii or real GameCube too if I wanted :)

I'd probably buy it though. Rayman is so good that I don't even want to pirate the game :P

I'm going to keep perfecting and practicing my combos that I've made so far, and maybe try finding some things in between here and there 8)
Now that I've broken 700000, I'm going to try for 750000 next! :)

I still haven't broke 600k just yet because I haven't bothered to replay the levels yet but instead just messed around testing stuff for a bit of fun. If I only went full on scoring non stop I'd stress myself out so it was nice having a little break. I wanna try some things on the PS2 version tomorrow then I guess I'll get back to scoring on one of them :)

Yeah, I've taken a 3-day break from the game entirely, but I finished some games that I wanted to get done, so now I'm back for more! Ready to get my game on! Still some things I'd like to test myself, but maybe wait til tomorrow to try them since I'll probably be testing for hours. I'll play through the game in this save file I'm running normally, then go up from there :)

Jumping over the Knaaren? Now that's a much better way of doing it! :P Perhaps they originally intended it that way… Anyway, maybe I should look into forcing my game to run at a lower framerate. :hinhinhin:

I used Nvidia inspector and set my monitor to 100Hz while limiting the game to 50fps to try it. Technically though I don't see a problem with that since consoles can do 50Hz but others might not like it so much.

Actually at this point I'm kinda tempted to try loads of framerates, record the jump heights and throw it all in a spreadsheet, and do a regression analysis. We don't really know what units to use for the jump height though. :fou:

Yeah that's the thing. I was just testing the door on CF part 2 and the balloons on LOTLD part 2 since they require the slightly higher jump.

Edit: maybe just jump from standing still and see how long it takes to hit the ground.
