Oddly Rayman-Fanpage hasn't got these pictures. I consider pictures out from Rayman-Fanpage as rare.

This one is really weird. Just look at some of the random crap exploding out of the fighting Teensies. Even Foutch’s face.

Well, the pic isn't rare but I find it fun. Maybe Ubisoft hadn't anything more to put as arguing symbols.

EDIT: Have you guys saw this already?

Razorbeard’s lackey is here called ‘Pirate Lunette’, which means ‘Telescope Pirate’ or ‘Glasses Pirate’. Perhaps the name refers to his strange eyes?

I've debated about his name before, but I guess that's the reason.

I believe lunettes means sunglasses, which he does look like he's wearing.

Then perhaps he should be called ‘Sunglasses Pirate’ in the same way the fellow to his left is called ‘Gorilla Pirate’. It’s the best official-ish name we have for him.

Which reminds me, why on earth do we call Gorilla Pirates ‘Ape pirates’ on the wiki? Dreyfus strikes out from beyond the grave. I’ll go and fix it.

One more thing: does anyone know whether these images are official? I like some of them very much:

Yes they are. They were available before in french Rayman 1's mini-website.

Actually "lunettes" means "glasses" only. If it was sunglasses, it should be "lunettes de soleil".

Thanks for the information. By the way, I noticed a few days ago that you had added some pieces of trivia to RayWiki. One was that the Gorilla Pirate’s IQ is somewhere between that of a deep-sea sponge and a toast, and another was that the Henchmen 800’s weak spot was their penchant for rum. You said these details came from an official Rayman 2 site, but I’ve never seen them before. Could you post a link? I assume the site can only be found in the WebArchive.

Exactly. I obtained those informations by acessing archives, but they were in German only. I picked up a translator, and with some adaptation to English, I reached to those phrases. I haven't the link here, but I can guarantee that everything I added on that day was from the german pages from the official Rayman 2: The Great Escape website.

I also saw that you putted "Glasses Pirate". It should be just "Glass Pirate" since "Lunette" is a singular word for "Glasses", so it gets "Glass".

Are you sure? ‘Glass Pirate’ makes no sense as a name, and Babelfish translates ‘lunette’ as ‘glasses’, not ‘glass’.

'Glasses' in English are grammatically plural, but semantically singular. So 'Lunette' definitely means the same thing.

I've found the page for the small trivias I added in RayWiki, it is in German: http://web.archive.org/web/200010022158 ... cters.html

Well done Spiral, I'm glad to see this picture at last!

In French, une lunette (singular) refers to a hand-held telescope. Therefore, the correct translation would be spyglass pirate ;)

Hunch is alive! :mryellow:

Thank you very much Hunch, it is always great to read a translation made by a French-native. :D

Really? Wow, I asked a French person about it and they said glasses... I need to be more specific next time. :P Thanks Humch!

I've corrected the name in RayWiki. To be honest, "Spyglass" makes more sense and it sounds better than "Glasses".

Well that’s a relief. I secretly disliked the name ‘Glasses Pirate’ and wished I had called him ‘Creole Pirate’ instead. ‘Spyglass Pirate’ will do quite nicely, I think.

And look, here’s an image of him with a spyglass... sort of: http://www.rayman-fanpage.de/rayman2/ra ... Circle.JPG

I always called him Lunette due to the 3D model picture (it isn't the first time I see it), but I didn't know that it really meaned "spyglass".
