I really dont appreciate the stuff being uploaded on mega.co.nz, the lossless audio pack gets stuck at 99% and iv had problems downloading from that site before many times. Why use it??? :tssk:

I hate MEGA, web-based downloaders are annoying because you have to keep them open, I'd much rather have as few tabs open as possible and trust FireFox to do its job rather than keep tabbing to check my progress.
Is MEGA the best place for downloading files? Dont think so :confus:
I agree with Adsolution. Please upload the files on a diffirent site than mega!

By the way, if the developers of this would be interested in releasing a GNU/Linux version, I could try to work on that in a few weeks' time. Might be nice if these games could be played on non-Windows platforms, given the overall direction of gaming these days.

I would really like a Mac version of Rayman Optimum.

Previous versions worked on Mac so I suppose Optimum on Mac is possible, but Mac sucks as an OS anyways.

Mac doesn't suck. OS X is more stable than Windows.

I know. I'll just keep using a Mac because I like Apple.

Aye, MediaFire kicks ass.

Emshomar, if you're persuaded, if you like, I can upload it to my MediaFire Pro account which allows for files up to 20 GB in size, no download speed cap, and direct download links.
Fifo wrote:OS X is more stable than Windows.
Actually, by definition, it isn't. Sure, on the provided hardware it is, but having had to maintain two Hackintosh installations over the past year and then finally giving up, I can say that OS X is extremely volatile. One could make the argument that if it wasn't designed for non-specific hardware then you can't make that accusation, but you can when Windows happens to be easily as stable as OS X on the hardware it was built on.

Additionally, when I had a MacBook Pro for a bit, I would encounter around the same number of errors and trip-ups I would in Windows, but the errors themselves made less sense and were impossible to manually diagnose, you just sort of have to put up with it. OS X tolerates no room for error - as soon as something malfunctions, it's toast; expect to get constant kernel panics and errors when trying to do anything. Windows doesn't break so easily. Again, one could make the argument that OS X is more stable because people don't often run into these kinds of problems, but that's usually a result of most OS X users not really doing anything other than run apps - as a Windows user, when I started using a Mac for a bit, I'd basically destroyed the OS from regular, Windows-esque use in about a year.

OS X is like a wine glass and Windows is like a plastic cup - the plastic cup can be used for virtually anything, and while it may not be as consistent and marked-up as a wine glass, it performs its practical application just as well, and you can use it for pretty much whatever you want and it'll probably be fine. If you're not careful, it might dent or chip at worst. The wine glass would be awkward to use for something like pop or juice, and even water on occasion, its shape just doesn't serve any practical purpose for that. Wine glasses you know are always going to be nice, but if you aren't conservative, it's smashed and unusable beyond anything but expensive repair.

There's my bloated and somewhat unnecessary reply on the stability of OS X, stupid analogy included.

It is. I had several (3) BSODs on Windows. I haven't encountered any kernel panics on my Mac.

If it gets uploaded there, I would appreciate if MEGA link still stays because MediaFire is horrible for me. It takes ages to download and speed is slow. 20MB file took about 30 minutes. It is weird because all other sharing sites are normal for me.

Don't blame Windows for that, that was most likely your problem.

Hmm, if you don't mind my asking, what exactly do you use OSX for anyways? It seems to me that you use it as any ordinary PC, and not for anything along the lines of what I'd expect Ad to be doing.

I'm using OS X for iOS development (Xcode isn't for Windows).

Does it really matter that much, though? Mega works fine for pretty much everyone (save a few people), and it's much easier for emshomar (and others) to upload on, since he has his own account for it, and doesn't have to pay the extra cash for a MediaFire account. But, eh, I suppose backup mirrors would be fine, though.

You didn't read my post. Need I clarify that I just said that there is advanced priority and no download cap for Pro uploads?

'Save for a few people' seems to have been three people in this thread already.

It was just a suggestion for having a nice, fast direct download (also because I think MEGA's web-downloader is annoying and just bad), emshomar can do whatever he wants. I also doubt he's constantly uploading changes to Optimum, else I wouldn't have offered. Also, not really sure what mentioning cash has anything to do with it.
