Here's why I didn't mention it: I guess Spanex didn't put eyes there for some reason, or maybe because they haven't found a good solution yet for their form/shape/color so it can fit with the rest.
Actually, these black abysses are the eyes. They just look a little strange here 'cause there is no reflection and gif quality kills the texture.

Is it because it's hard to animate each leg at once?
It's actually just confusing. I still get lost in the animation easily and I want it to look perfect.

If you want it to look perfect, there's one thing I noticed that bugs me: its legs seem to shock somewhere halfway to around three quarters of the way backwards. Do you see what I mean? Instead of sliding smoothly, they kind of skid three times before the lapunny (did I recall that correctly?) picks them back up. For the rest, great! I'd love to see this brightly-coloured cutie bounce around the scene some.

There's something eerie about your choice of eye colour - the stark contrast is striking. I'm sure you have your reasons for it.
Lookin' good!

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. This is actually the cause of a glitch that I need to get rid of. I'm also gonna brighten up the eyes a little bit, so don't worry.

Very nice, Spanex! Your little Lapunny looks like it came straight out of the Animated Series. The eyes are indeed rather unsettling, like it's possessed by some dark magic :P

Hey guys, how's this look to you?

Better, right? :)

Oh, much! That's a lot better. Very cute!

I kinda like its dark eyes. It's scary, but incredibly thought-provoking. Unless it wasn't meant to be. Then it's just weird I guess. :P

Oh, with the light on them the weirdness disappeared! You brightened the color of the irises a bit, right?

Now I find his pupils to be a bit too big. Or maybe it's the size of the eyes. Fuck, I can't find the thing that is bugging me. I hate this feeling, it suuuuuuuuuuuuux!

X'D.

The new picture is definitely much better! I like the design of that creature a lot.
Saer is right though, something still feels a little off. Maybe the eyes are too close together? That seems to be what it is, or maybe I'm just getting that feeling because of the shadow cast over the other side of its face. It could also be that the eyes bulge out of their sockets a little too much.
Either way, it's really subtle so I doubt many people would notice it in-game. ;)

You mean like this? ;D

Hahah, personally, I don't see anything strange about the critter's eyes. True, they may be too close together, the texture change is a big improvement, but if I changed the model now, it might mess with the rigging and skinning, and I have more environmental assets to make (this time, it's trees and plants).

Lovely work, Spanex! Your work is one of many reasons I want to get into 3D modeling.

And having been dabbling in both quite intensely the past two weeks, I know how hellish that would be...!

If there's something about your model you yourself don't like, I can still recommend changing it though. If it's gonna bother you, it's gonna bother a lot of others too. But if you're happy with how it is (which I can see you are and rightly so!), you can ignore all of us and move on to other projects. ;D

Out of curiosity, could we have a picture of this bunny and Rayman next to each other so we have a frame of reference to its size?

Sure, why not?

This is the size I personally went with. Ad thought it was much smaller first, but we managed to agree on my idea. There will be variations of size, of course, but this will be your average lackin.

Holy moly that's a big bunny! Although Rayman is, admittedly, quite petite. Well, it's absolutely lovely. I'd like to see more critters come out of those creative hands of yours.

Dang, that bunny is awesome! It remind me of Lac Mac :P Looking at the colour scheme, the big curly antennas on his head.
Someone might have asked this before, but, were you inspired by Lac Mac? Or is this just a pure coincidence? :P

(I like Lac Mac)

Ye, lackins are, as one could put it, a part of the same genus as Lac Mac, but not the same species.

Hellow :) your little rabbit animation is very cool ;)

but about "move animation", see a cat running for exemple, there is a little Time lag between all the little paw, i say that because it make what is realistic in an animal who move,

here is a little video reference about a cat : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcTnR4llUWM

we can see the real cat animation, and the Time lag ;)

i talk about cat, because rabbit and cat are very similar, so i think it's a good exemple if you want to had more realism in your animation :),

time lag, or interval are sometime what make a more credible animation : )

good continuation ;)

I don't want to be nasty, but rabbits are actually closer to rats than cats in terms of the way they move/the way their paws are positioned. You can see that cats are more developped for four-members moves (hence the length and size of the anterior and posterior members being similar), while rabbits have way more developped posterior members, and smaller anteriors. For example, it's not comfortable for a cat to stand only on his posterior members, while it is for rabbits (and rats). ;)

Aye, this is true. It's not very sensible to use a cat as reference when you're animating a rabbit. Either way, I will try to improve the animation. After all, this is only my first. But I have other things to do right now.
