That woman that was in the "That's why mums go to iceland!" ads? Thank God she's gone! I was sick of looking at her smug little face.

They'd probably use a worse celeb. Like Zac Effron. :paranormal: Wait actually Zac Effron in a supermarket ad would be lol. :fou:

It would certainly bring in quite a crowd of fans. xD

Why would "mums" even want to go to iceland? Feeding their wee ones cheap 3rd party food... :tssk:

Iceland's actually quite good for when you want to stock up on Quorn stuff.

But Kerry Katona is just...fff. She didn't sing a note when she was in Atomic Kitten, and I'll be dancing forever when her kids get taken away from her for good.

She seems like a nice person though, but the ad's just made her look like a kiss-ass/mum/whore.

anyone that's either strapped for cash or has 12 love children to feed will shop in Iceland and Somerfield. When you're REALLY strapped for cash, then you've got ALDI and LIDL.

Don't we brits have such a large choice? From Morisons to Aldi... or MnS to co-op...

I'd say Tesco's somewhere in the middle.

Waitrose is really the only one that sells good quality products.

Also while we're on the subject of shops, does anyone else think TK Maxx is seriously bad?

Another member mentioned that awhile ago. Is it not a sandwich shop? The only one's around here are in Edinburgh, apparently.

As for TK Maxx, I don't go there. :P

Waitrose is like an ooooh pish posh supermarket, more so than M&S. They do some horribly expensive but irresistible sushi wrap things that are made of mushroom, spinach and egg. Yumyumz.

No wonder it's more common in England then. :P Haha, just joking.

It's better to be pish posh than niff naff!

The nearest Waitrose and M&S to us is in a fairly rich area so yeah, people with more money than sense will shop there on a regular basis. But then, a lot of M&S stuff is worth it so what does it matter to buy some expensive food once in a while?

Yeah, really for things like Christmas, Hogmanay or Sunday dinners. :P

It just is. If you're posh you're usually loaded, and money generally leads to a more secure, happy lifestyle.

Posh is a silly term anyway, there's no real definition, it's just how one individual perceives another.
Xenon wrote:does anyone else think TK Maxx is seriously bad?
Absolutely, it's awful.
